Thanks for the link and snaps to sleepy-fish for its continual hosting of vids. Three notes:
Pressing sport on PASM does not lower the car 10mm as implied to allow 'increased aerodynamic thrust through the air.' The car comes 10mm lower than standard with PASM, the sport button does nothing for ride height, which would require even fancier hardware or air springs.
The 997 does not have 'variable power steering rate' allowing easier parking but same sensitivity at speed. The 997 has variable
rate steering, not variable power steering, which is the stuff that manufacturers love to put in luxo cars.
Mentioned is the Aston Vantage. Fifth gear has already previewed this car, and loved it. Based on the closing comments, my bet is that the AMV8 will be crowned to be superior than the 997 by some press, particularly the UK press (despite AM being owned by ford), partly b/c Aston has already claimed and has touted the Vantage to be superior to the 997S. I have my doubts that an ultra premium luxo car maker can, with its first effort, dethrone the 911. I suppose we shall see soon enough.
Cheers.
