    This is not something I would be telling on the net either. I think RC is right; a car should be treated like a loaded weapon. I think I'm a good driver, treat others with respect, and drive quite defensibly. Haven't had an accident or a ticket in years (wish I could say that about my wife), and will be buying a 996tt first quarter 05.

    I was fortunate to be invited to an open-wheel 3-day driving class at Las Vegas International Raceway some time ago, and it really opened my eyes, made me a much better driver on the street. I think everyone - especially new drivers - should take advantage of this. Driving a formula ford was great fun!!

    There are times when I drive fast, but certainly not thru intersections, where in California you can't make the assumption that just because you have a green light, that it's safe to proceed.

    You might be right but he deserves credit for doing so - a lot of people might think about their driving habits now!

    Besides that I wholeheartedly agree about the value of a decent driver training - in Europe you might have a tougher exam to go through to get your license but this doesn't make you explore your and your car's limits!
