But before the contingency of the Swiss cup challenge I just signed up for doing a guest race in the “Crash cup” (German sports cup) at Spa. Love Spa kiss smiley

And sorry for not posting so much right now, but it’s traveling all the time it seems yes Whoopsy knows how my summer schedules usually looks like.....Miss you buddy (but I try to at least keep up with my reading of RT).

Got some very interesting developments to post regarding the Bentley, but that have to wait until the darkness hit Sweden (for you that think that happened a long time ago, let me clarify that I mean when the daylight has disappeared frown ).

And believe it or not, so far one (1) track day with my GT2. I’m just not home enough....😱

We are attending the Swiss Porsche Sports Cup . During the two training days ( Thursday and Friday ) they have open sessions for non racers .

It is always nice to join the Porsche Sports Cup as the race atmosphere adds a layer of pleasure .

Your event is just after this one . We will miss by a couple of days

No name of my car this year, but i like my car with a stift set up, so thought about putting ”Stiff” on the one in the Swiss cup. But my female engineer did not approve.... 🤪🤪🤪

Buy they way, there was a guy in the Swiss Challange driving arround in a car saying in big letters “Alte Schwede”. In a break he approached me and I told him I was so glad he was advertising me

He did well , the car not so . He has been waiting for two years for this event ( The organiser is the only one I know who lets kids drive on the track ) He had done it two years ago on my former RS .

The problem was that after my first session, the car went into limp mode . Impossible to have more then about 80 HP . Max speed about 120 ..... on the highway . On track not more then 100 . So he did his session enjoying the RS chassis but having an engine that was like a Polo entry level ... After that we stoped completely to drive , as there was no point with the car like this .

There was a 14 years old kid, driving his father's Performante that was faster then a guy in a 997 Turbo . The guy couldn't believe it !!! indecision

Car is now at the garage . It could go from simply dirty fuel , to the fuel pump , to connector problems, and in the worse case a gear box problem . On my dash it says : gear box failure but also impossible to read the oil level as that goes blinkers when selected . But I have not heard any strange noise . When putting the computer in they get : no pressure in fuel pump

Too bad, that it happened in your first session. Hope you and your son still had some fun. I've been to the track recently with my son and let him drive with an instructor for the first time. Unfortunately he got addicted and now wants to join me for every event. Guess that I'll have to choose the Trackday dates to match his university schedule from now on :).

I actually get two messages . One is exactly the same as yours + another one that says : gear box failure , avoid using reverse . ( this one is probably responsible for the '' limp '' mode )

I should of used the fuel at your friend's petrol station . Probably much better then the one on the highway Smiley

My concern now is that the car gets repaired before I go to Mugello at the end of the month . At first they wanted to take my car in on the 3rd of October only Smiley Way too busy at the dealer with all the Macan , Pana etc...
