997/S ARE available off the dealer lots (apparently)

There ARE cars to be bought right off the lot. Some show arrival dates in the near future are available for sale.
Maybe the dealears are just BSing? If not there ARE cars available it seems

I think its little hard for a dealer to BS when you visit a dealer with hard cold cash and they have nothing on their lots. The internet inventory can be misleading. If you use the Porsche system on the web, it includes cars that are pre-sold and are due to arrive shortly. For example, Rusnak Porsche in Pasadena California list 6 cars available. I live 5 miles from Rusnak. They only had one 997 that they were offering for $5000 over MSRP. .
This BS that 997/S are available is hogwash. The dealers on the west coast have not received any new cars that were built since the factory closure in August. All cars that you may see on the street or in a dealer lot were built in July or before. There is simply no cars available. So I been to Rusnak, Circle, McKenna, Downtown LA all in the last week. None of them have any 997 or 997S available. Now in the next few weeks, this may change, large shipments of cars will be coming with one ship that arrive this week and another one next week. But at this moment at time, the cars are sold out in the Los Angeles area.
And I have gone to many dealers in search of a car. Fortunately, my car arrives at the dealer in the next few days and my search will be over.

I think the inventory on the net is misleading. Take our local dealer here, the web site shows 2 997S', but my dealer tells me one of these is sold, the other they are trying to stave off people from buying so that they can use it as a demo. The site also shows an 04 C4S available, but was told this also had a buyer even before it arrived on the lot.
