    Well flatout is exaggerated, but if you check the Manthey lap, a mere lift is now sufficient. It doesn't make your speed in Schwedenkreuz any higher but your approach towards it will be faster and most probably this makes it more dangerous rather than safer (imo).

    Thanks guys! My PTS got canceled after 9 months (and was ordered in due time). Still waiting for answers from our importer. 

    Don't mind having the 'speed absorbing' colour, I'll try to make up for it! wink

    Technically they are shades of grey, on either side of the grey scale.

    That's why black and white are the fastest colour. White is fastest in the pits, while black is fastest on the track!

    The other 48 shades are reserved for the bedroom.

    For Watt's attention:  I told you PDK is no cure for the road car's tall gearing, "The PDK gearbox is an ideal fit for the GT4 CS, but its leggy ratios annoy, just as they do on many Porsches outside of the 911 GT3/GT3 RS."

    When autoquest launches their low R & P, they will have a customer for lifeSmiley  Their gt3 bits are nifty too

    Watt - I just received details today for a new R&P from BGB's German tuner.  New final drive is 4.75:1 from stock 3.888:1 or a lowering of 22% (huge difference).  2nd gear would change from 82 mph to 64 mph.  This would be great for me, but way too low for many people...

    I calculated that Vmax should only be 149mph at 7,800 (instead of stock 181 @ 7,400 rpm), but they claim 161.5 mph.

    So either there is some kind of error or this includes a taller 6th gear.

    More details as I learn them...

    Well, the top speed in 2nd (if info correct) would be 64 mph, so still only one shift required.  It would be significantly quicker - don't know amount.  

    Time to 200kph would be much better, as would mountain driving be much more fun, and track driving on very tight tracks will be better too.

    Autobahn and Nordschleife will be worse...

    My good friends of Nürburg based PROsport Performance had two great days at the Pau GT4 race.

    They made it 1 and 2 in the first race and 1 in the second race.

    If you want to see some good fighting between their Cayman GT4 and a BMW watch this from  1:16:10

    The BMW is first and the Cayman second. The other cars  are lepped.

    I think gear ratios should change on GT4, instead of rear diff ratio. Because one other problem is that the gear ratios are not close; not only the gearing is tall.

    The higher gears are close, but the lower ones are not.  But the GT4 has enough torque to mange the spacing if the final drive was improved alone, even if not perfect...
