nberry:Wow, I’m surprised they open the track for amateurs in the rain.
If they closed the Ring when wet, it would rarely be open
It is wet on at least some part of the track almost every day (definitely every week). Rather than "4 seasons in one day", on the Ring you often get "4 seasons in one Lap"
And when I was at Spa in April, we had alternating snow and sun 4 times in the course of one track day - even made Denver weather seem tame in comparison...

Josef:Are some of you guys going to the Porsche Sports Cup Swiss in Imola on July 4th?
Not this year . The Farmer should be there , racing his Cup with the Manthey team .
Dave and I will be in September at Mugello for the Porsche Sports Cup Swiss , doing the the two days training

First time at Imola for me as well. Will be a nice challenge, since I’m not doing the sports cup, but the Cup Challange I.e. no ABS......😱🤪🤪 Even start/Finish “strait” is a left turn when breaking from 270 kph.
Got a shit load of information from Manthey regarding the track and has just starting studying it. So far, it’s not boosting my confidence
Imola is a great track . Just need to learn the correct line , specially at the top coming down .
What is very enjoyable about the place is that the track is '' in town '' , so you basically walk from the track to some nice local restaurants in the old town . What can be better
I ll miss not being there this year !

Gauss:Isn't the carbon steering a bit slippery while driving on track?
No, it's only the spokes (not the rim where you put your hands):
