given the Hype around the LT and it's current "market" values - the 570S or a 650S used propose massive fun for the buck - depreciation will make a 570S soon a fantastic choice for somebody looking for a supercar feeling

I hope for a depreciation, too. But I am not sure about the 570s. The price is very low for a car with this capabilities. If you take a km leasing McLaren calculates the rest value after three years very high and you don´t have any risk. You get a significantly better leasing offer then for a 991 turbo.

It depends. Last time I checked, the McLaren lease offer was better than the one for the 991 Turbo S but it was a time limited special lease offer for the 12C, not any of the newer cars (the 12C was new at that time though).

I do not remember the specifics but I think it was 25k EUR initial payment and under 1000 EUR per month, VAT included. Not bad at all for a 12C. Smiley

Mclaren and Aston Germany are very keen currently to close deals n have amazing lease deals whereas here at least in Switzerland Porsche still rides on a high horse but I got offered a new TurboS MK2 for +40k below LP if they can use it as a Show car for a couple of thousand miles. Slowly Porsche will learn as well....

The 20% are pretty common in Germany if you are willing to give the dealer the car for at least 3 months and 5000 km minimum. Not sure if this is the best deal, I would rather prefer to get a used one instead of a car driven by a dozen of different people. Just saying... Smiley

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Had just an amazing afternoon with McLaren Stuttgart. We had made a nice tour here in the Black-Forrest with 650s spider. The weather was nice and the car is so amazing. I felt in love with that car. The steering, the proactive chassis control, aero braking, acceleration everything is superb. Just the sound wasn´t and I have the feeling that my PDK-S (GT3RS) shifts faster. But without waiting a second I would trade it.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Cool.. Yes, I got the impression that PDK-S is a little more responsive, too.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Visited the local McLaren dealer again to catch up with the sales guy and ask a few questions, and ended up taking the 570S out for another spin. Man, I like this car blush

it does get way more attention than the GT3 though.  The demo car is volcano red which looks really lovely, but 10 mins of motorway saw about 5 cars drift past with mouths open, endless phones pointed my way, bikers beeping and giving thumbs up. Also had kids nearly falling off their bikes. Gets a bit of attention I must say, but people seemed to like it.

It is a lot quieter and more refined than mine though, and as nice as that is, it does make it a little less charismatic I think.

Think I will spend a little time looking at the financials.

I spotted that car today. Parked close to Fällanden with some people photographing it.

This car could be a nice one as Spyder kiss

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

I would take it only as a spider. Incredible how the spider is stiff! I mean you drive it really like a luxury car and if you take it hard it is like a track car. Never have driven a car with such superior suspension system.

What do you think about the colors?

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Jeremy Clarkson dropped a comment when they did TG is Spain with the 12C, 458 Spyder and R8 that the Mac came into its own as a cabrio.. I can believe it. McLaren have supplied cabrio cars to track tests because they are so confident there is so little difference in stiffness. Impressive.

It is logical, they have the same carbon monocoque. I have the feeling, that you get far the most for you money when you get a 650s spider

The problem is: nobody will still want it next year when the new version will be available... To me that is the key problem: way too many updates, versions etc. This will also kill their resale values.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

If you look are three years the resale value is not bad at all. McLaren offers on a km leasing 62% rest value after three years. Maybe you get 5-10% discount and the you have to pay from 90/95 to 62.

I have heard 2017 570s spider and 2018 650 successor and the year after spider version.

I drove behind a 570S in traffic today and the exhaust sound was pretty disappointing. Very thin and fake enlightened

I hope it opens up a bit when pushed?

The non sport exhaust is really disappointing. The sport exhaust is nice but far from gt3 rs sound

How many km p.a. as the 62% calculation for, BTW?

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

the successor of the 650s will be considerable more expensive - so I guess it's not a bad time buying a used 650s now - I was at cars&coffee on sunday and all those ferraris lambo's are dull against the Mac's - i also believe they look futuristic kiss Mclaren has somehow a "wow" factor whereas I probably have seen to many Ferrari;s and lambo's and they have just evolved to little from their predecessors. Same could be said about Porsche - but for a exotic a wow is mandatory....(I would excempt the 750SV only)

Gorgeous car. Hopefully the 570GT depreciates a decent amount so I can pick one up in a year or so.

Don't worry, judging by McLaren's history, it will. haha.

On a side note, McLaren will be launching the 570 GT4 race car in the fall, possibly in October.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Got yesterday a E-Mail from Mark to buy a 570S GT4 for £159,900 excluding taxes.

"As one of my valued customers through the Pure McLaren programme, you are amongst the first to be given the opportunity to place an order and, as production slots will be allocated according to the order in which we receive deposits, this means that you have a very good chance to secure a car from the limited production run scheduled between September and December."

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

    It's road-legal - correct ?

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

    No its a racing car.
