Thanks gents for all these encouraging words...
Last week was not easy - the surgery went through the throat to the neck...Frankenstein-style...
Today I left the hospital and returned to my family - a big step forward.
And reading about the small Rennteam-Meeting at the Nürburgring makes everything easier, too.
In 2 weeks I am allowed to drive again...slowly...and T -85 days till my return to the track...

T -56 days till my return to the track...
At least I can drive my cars myself since two weeks...
Today the OEM-battery of my Touring was changed with a lightweight battery at our local Lotus-dealership.
Total weight of the OEM-package: 21.2 Kg vs. 2.7 Kg of the Lite Blox package.
So a Real weight saving of 18.5 Kg...a little bit more than base Weissach-package of Porsche, which costs almost 18.000€.
The test run over 50 km showed no problems - I will report my longterm experience..

That is indeed a huge difference . Looking forward to your long time report . Do you need to have it plugged in when not driving more then a few days ? I can leave my stock one unplugged for 3 month with no problems .
What is the price ?

According to the producer you can leave the battery conected with the car for some weeks with no problems.
I will report my own experience.
The price in Germany for the 991.2 GT3 version with carbon adapter plate is about 1.500EUR.

You can shut off the battery with your phone via Bluetooth, if you don´t use the car for a longer period.

That looks familiar - only 3 operations ago, Sun's neck looked the same. Wishing you well, and please do not go back to the track early, especially wearing a helmet......

I will follow your advise and will start very slowly...my hope is to be back again for the july trackdays.
My shifter race-kart will stay in the garage at least till august.

Ouch, sorry...just saw this photo. 
Have a speedy recovery, so sorry you got to have this operation, I hate hospitals and yes, I know how this sounds coming from someone like me (maybe because I know what can happen... 
).
Please take it slow, the slower, the better with this kind of stuff. I bet your doctors already told you.

First big trip after my surgery - 2.000 Km in 4 days on alpine roads in Italy, Austria and Switzerland.
BTW - The LiteBlox battery works flawless, even with 3 weeks breakes with a connected battery.
The trip was great fun with the Touring...everything is faster and more brutal in comparison with my former Carrera T.
Autobahn-driving in the rain with the Michelin Cups is a little bit scary...
Next week we will be at Hockenheim for a trackday with the Pistenclub.

good to see you back in good health......take it easy next week in Hockenheim...btw, Porsche Club Germany days are on this weekend in Hockenheim, however I fear that we will have some rain and thunderstorns...by any chance, have you enlisted as well for Pistenclubs venue in SPA in August ?

How could you ask such a stupid question ???? 
...he may rate the T so high that I am struggeling even further to make a deal! 
(still on the look for a T, however, GTS prices are starting to get lower...tempting...)

If I have to rate my last 3 cars for driving pleasure on practicality on public ALPINE roads, this would be my ranking:
1. 981 Spyder (+open car is great on alpine Roads, -needs a little more power, too long gearing) 8.5 Points
2. 991.2 Carrera T (+right size auf car, Michelin4s, fuel consumption, torque, -needs better engine sound and more revs)8 Points
3. 991.2 GT3 Touring (+Power, engine/9.000rpm, racecar-feeling, -wide car, fuel consumption, ground clearance, Cups in the rain)7.9 Points
The GT3 is my dream car and it was no mistake to buy it - next week at Hockenheim it will outperfom dramatically both of the former cars.
But for my alpine tours, the other cars are more suited - the GT3 is a little bit overkill. I wrote it last year after our Spain/France tour - you can keep up with a GT3RS in a Carrera T on small curvy roads and you have almost the same driving pleasure for 70K€ less.
So a GT3 and a Carrera T is nonsense for me, therefore I will add to my garage again a used 981 Spyder for open top fun.
