Lars997:Amazing review Carlos - Thanks for that!
It confirms all our fears and hopes. Question is - will you get one?
If he gets one, I guess he will take the plunge getting a GT3... Or a GT3 Cab...

Carlos, muchas gracias! Fantastic write-up! Not only did you write your real-life experiences and impressions of the car, but you took the effort to illustrate it all with beautiful pictures. I didn't have the time yet to fully read it, but I'm really looking forward to doing so. This is the kind of contributions that you come across only a couple of times per year, but when you do it makes up for all the tesla-related BS in the Taycan thread...
Thanks again mate!

You saved me a lot of work.
Nah RC, I also look forward to your impressions!
Dammit, I thought I'm off the hook.

Thank you guys!, so glad you liked it
Lars997Question is - will you get one?
Hi Lars, given my weakness for atmospheric engines, and also the importance of sound as part of the experience, and preference for the sportier setups in a 911, doesn't make sense for me having a 991.1GTS which is a treat as a daily in that regard.

Brilliant write up Carlos, enjoyable to read as much as the rest of your reviews (and don’t take this lightly, you have set the bar really high).
You might not be down with the base Carrera due the turbo engine, sound, etc. but I feel the itching is going to get more vivid with the GT3 Touring of this gen, what do you say?

Thanks guys! I appreciated the kind words
@Alex, I 2ish, that GT3 engine on the 992 chassis will be phenomenal combination and the GT3 Touring is actually my favorite 911 version, but for the use I give it, a high milage all year round daily it wouldnt work out I think... I'm still quite in love with the GTS though for now, we will see what happens

Carlos, how much improvement in terms of front axle grip did you experience? The test car did not have Corsa tires, of course. But how would you compare front axle grip with a 991 GT3, for example?

I would say, after my test drive on a mountain road, that it is pretty close , if not identical . I did of course not push it as hard as I would on a track . Only difference is sharpness and precision , but then , again , the 992 is closing in .

bvineyards:Carlos,
Buy a 991.2 Touring and drive it every day. It will obviously make you happy given your purist leanings. Forget about mileage and depreciation. Life is short. Great write up and thank you.
It's not the depreciation, I've just put 100,000km on the GTS for example, is more about how practical it would be for such an intense and versatile use, if only I could have both, a GTS for weekdays and Touring for weekends

Thankfully Gnil already answered that since he is much more qualified to make that comparison than I

And If I think about it a bit more , the comparaison is not fair . GT3 has cup tire . Taking this into consideration , 992 could well have better front grip then 9910.1 GT3 with same tire . That wider track and better balance makes a big difference .
