Surf, lead dog at the time, got it completely sideways out of a corner with his 7 year old son cackling with glee.... Thank God he pressed instead of lifting.......

And Surf will be shocked if the new one hunts and tramlines the way the 2002 did.

Actually, it was the 996 GT2... I remember how many 996 Turbo owners switched to the GT2 and crashed it pretty much instantly because they were used to the pretty neutral (for them = boring ) setup.

I drove one many many years ago, while I owned a 993 Targa. It wasn't as fun as expected, very tricky to drive vs the 993. I enjoyed the 993 Turbo much more, the AWD was insane, not that my 993 Targa had any significant traction issues. I also remember when I switched from the 993 Targa to the new BMW M3 (E36), it was like switching from an old-timer to a modern car. Smiley

Tha KS guys. My car was black for the longest until the very last moment when I changed it to Miami blue. And added the painted vent slates. Also the white gauges but it would seems the sports chrono white is not the same white as the gauges, sort of bugs me a bit.

The full leather dash and the speaker grill and vents with yellow stitching turned out quite nicely.

They denied my request for yellow seat belts so I had to settle for Miami blue.

As for the sill plate, yeha it's an homage to the car's unofficial nickname lol

It still can carry that though. If the car is not straight when I floor it, it does moves.

Also interesting that at Leipzig the have 3 GT2RS, mine plus the 2 factory cars. All are Miami blue 🤣

I am not suppose to modify a car that's destined to be shipped out of EU and back to Canada and US.

At most I could probably only do alignments, but not with Manthey parts, just stock.

Maybe I could also sneak in the wTer tank but definitely not the exterior bits.
