the-missile:now it is a performat-ish
That guy was really lucky. Just imagine he would have hit that tree with his door...I doubt he would have left the car unharmed.

the-missile:definitely, he would have kissed the other door...or been in bad shape because the rear of the car is pretty ugly. good poseur in my book.

Factor in to this that the driver has watched YouTube videos of similar crashes hundreds of times by this time in his life. No excuse to keep doing this but amusing so long as no one is hurt.
Not good for the insurance premium of other Lambo Perf owners.
Found this on a different car forum, thought I'd share it with you.
A few "updates" regarding the Huracan Performante and Evo:
Performante production will stop for good around May. No 2020 cars.
A total of not more than 1500 Performante (Coupes and Spyders) are expected to be produced by then, more Coupes than Spyders), right now a number of under 1300 cars is more likely.
A total of around 200 Performante were sold in the UK in the years 2017 and 2018.
First Evo demo/customer cars will hit dealers around May.
First Evo will show up at dealerships worldwide (for customer presentation) starting next week.
Evo is rumored to get a particulate filter starting with autumn 2019 production, power output/performance figures are same as now.
It seems that Lamborghini lowered the MSRP for the Evo in Canada by 2%. Reason? Apparently dealer criticism that the MSRP is too high.
New limited edition Huracan Super Trofeo Stradale rumored for a 2021 release. Up to 100 kg less weight vs. the Evo, lots of carbon, incl. a possible carbon roof, power around 650-670 hp, ALA 3.0, price tag starting at minimum 350k EUR.

Rossi:Huracán STS starting at minimum 350k?
That‘s staggering.
Yep...heard a rumor today from an Audi guy I know from my R8 days...
Heard the same rumor a couple of weeks ago but it had the starting price at something close to 300k. Now it seems it got more. Car will be "light weight" (lots of carbon, incl. carbon roof and other goodies), also limited edition (no clue about how many). All comfort stuff will be optional, so lots of weight to save. Car is based on new Evo.
I'm glad there is no rumor about a Performante 2.0.

Those two options must be listed under the Lambo "BS" tradition spec sheet

It is my understanding that the car will have a carbon roof, a carbon front hood and that it won't have A/C standard, basically no insulation as well and other light weight mods. Total weight saving vs. Evo is said to be 100 kg or close to it.
Limited edition in the sense of under 500 cars, more likely under 300 cars.
Of course Lamborghini will try to milk the V10 cow since this is going to be the last V10 generation, so I expect even more limited edition or special edition cars in the process but as long as they don't make another Performante, I'm good.

Currently, the plan is to keep it simple but the wait is killing me.

nberry:Waiting is tough but you have toys to occupy your time. Don’t make any decisions until you take delivery and drive it for a month.
I cannot drive it a month and then put a SPF on it...
As soon as I get to see the car in person, I know what to do with the car (paint). My kids and my wife will join me, so we can discuss this instantly. Then, I'll make an appointment with the wrap company and things will be done, whatever it will be. I was even thinking of Cardip (spray on paint) because I would be able to choose an original Lamborghini color for the job but Cardip requires some serious disassembling of the car (doors, hoods, interior panels, etc.) and I don't want this to happen to my car.

I like the black stripes only. This past weekend's warm weather in the Northeast USA brought out sports cars. I now have two Lamborghinis where I live. One of which is white with no stripes. The other is matte black with gold rims. I hope your wait will be over soon.

bridggar:I still find it a little odd that you spend lots of time and money agonising over a new Lambo & then the first thing you want to do is change it.
I guess you missed the story about the last day of ordering a new one and the lack of Ad Personam options at that time. You need to know the whole picture to understand. I know, not easy with (felt) a thousand posts.

Dane:Take a look at "Topaz Skin", maybe something for you:
I think this is the same as Cardip (Original) in Germany , I mentioned it before.
Great because you can use original paint, not so great because they basically have to disassemble the exterior (hoods, doors, panels, bumpers, etc.) of the car.
