    @Frank - if you add up your cornerweights they come to 1453kg. The 'leer' weight I guess has the ballast taken out again.

    Those 718 GT4 pics are the first time I've thought the new front end looks good.  Still not sold on rear diffuser.

    Blueflame, do you prefer the GT2 buckets in your Touring to the 918 style seats in your GT4?

    It is much easier to feel a small weight difference in a car that is already lightened.  I have a 73 911 that weighs 857kg and I have an old style racing battery that weighs 11kg.  The battery is located in the very front of the frunk (in front of fuel cell in this photo, but out of view) and thinking about a Lithium battery instead that would weigh a small fraction of this.  I think I will feel the difference.

    In my GT3, I can slightly feel the difference with a passenger.  In my 911, I can feel the difference with a passenger very easily...

    I had the 918 seats in my 981 Spyder and the folding buckets in my Carrera T and Touring, The folding buckets are a little bit lighter and the 918 seats are a little bit more comfortable for long distance trips. On the track both are very good...

    It’s been snowy in Denver (but warm today) - big icy mess in front of my house.  I know most people don’t travel to der Eifel for the weather, but sounding like an upgrade for me indecision

    Another 800 Km short-trip to the Ring today to pick up the Touring at Manthey.

    The Ring is still closed for construction works and the Autobahn was crazy crowded today.

    So the final report after the suspension set up from Manthey has to wait until march, when we visit the Sachsenring.

    The grill-badge is of the Goodwood Road Racing Company, as I´m a big fan of the "Festival of Speed" and the "Revival Meeting" since the 1990th...

    Regarding the cage...Nberry sure will have to say something to this...Smiley. I said it often, but here again - I like to track my cars, but I hate wings on streetcars. So what can you do, if you want the 4.0 NA Engine with a manual Gearbox and you are not wealthy enough for an 991 R....? A cage for saftey and for using a 6-Point-Belt would be great also...

    Than came the .2 Touring...

    First thought would be to buy a cheaper 991.2 GT3 Clubsport and put an Touring engine lid on it. But if you want this conversion with OEM parts, it is almost impossible and the calculated cost are over 15K€.

    In 12/2018 I spoke to Manthey-Racing about the possibilities of installing the clubsport halfcage in a Touring - and surprise - someone else had the same idea and they found a solution to do it. As the Touring misses the installation mounts for the cage, they reinforce the parts of the car and the cage is as safe as the OEM version AND it´s German TÜV approved and will be registered in the car documents. Very important for insurance reasons.

    For someone, who wants a PDK-Touring - it is cheaper to buy a .1 GT3 Clubsport and let them do the expensive conversion - they already did in once.

    Just a few people will understand my entire projectSmiley, but I will have soon exactly the car I want, which reminds me so much (optic and driving) of my old beloved 964 RS. On my old Base 964 RS had the cage some years after the delivery at the factory in Zuffenhausen in 1998 - at that time, I paid them the same  figure as in 2019 to Manthey-Racing...in D-Mark...Smiley

    Next step - installation Liteblox - on the scale again and then Sachsenring Trackday.

    What happened to this gorgeous 964RS? This is my dream 911.

    for the mods, interesting to know that Manthey can do some magic.  After all, they are PAG with another flag indecision

    did you play with camber? Weight cornering? Toe? Did you keep all parts stock or you added their extended arms?
