Totally missed my point. Go watch Top Fuel drag racing in person and get back to me. It is as American as Bull riding vs Bull fighting. If you think going fast for four seconds is easy you are very wrong my friend. I’m not talking street cars or 0-300 kph. Try 500 kph in under four seconds. Until you witness this in person you can’t imagine it.
And you might try watching a NASCAR race once too if you think ovals are for pussies. Not my cup of tea but sometimes more action than F1.

Have you seen that Chiron drag racing video? Pathetic. I get it, the owner wants to learn how to launch the car in the best way but why use a drag strip for that? His dealer can easily check with the factory, they have very good technical support there (from what I heard), no need to stress the car on a drag strip.

Not really. When have you been to South America, Eastern Europe and/or the Middle East/Asia lately?
The main problem in the US is the traffic density: You don't have a couple of cars on a road but masses of cars and when some of the drivers mess up, well...
The key word I have stressed was : “civilized” , I did not have in mind 3rd World countries.
I would also argue your opinion that US drivers (again, majority not all) are better then the majority in Eastern Europe.

Kobalt:Today I recieved news that the Belgian police found my car - it was prepared for export (to where is unknown at the moment) but was a bit damaged after the policed chased the car.
Does that mean you will get back the car, or does it belong to insurance now ??

Not sure if that is good news or bad news.
Good news they caught the bastards. Question is do you still want it and can you actually get it? I’m sure there is a precedent for buying a car back after insurance has paid out. Not sure what the process would be however.
