    To put the weight into another perspective:

    991 GT2 RS: 1501 kg.

    720S: 1425 kg (one has to wonder how they do that, impressive)

    M2 Competition: 1617 kg.

    M4 Competition: 1636 kg.

    All weights are measured weights from same magazine.

    Btw: You can get the Performante weight easily under 1500 kg if one chooses not to get the lift, the magneto-rheologic suspension, the entertainment system/navigation, rear view camera/sensors and comfort seats. Resale value would drop though since my dealer considers such a car to be very very difficult to sell.

    I misread it, it was with the driver, 75kg extra. doesn't really change the face of the subject. however, it doesn't remove its interest and the fact that it is a great car but no chance to get below 1500kg.

    take the magazine test with a grain of salt, they get cars that you will never see...especially the italian brandssmiley

    out of the list which are not track rats (yes, even the 2RS...add water drama) the 720S is a joke in term of weight. no chance to get that close with a car sold at dealer.

    for your info, PDK is 17kg heavier than manual indecision

    It may be interesting to mention that the Performante was banned during testing (Sport Auto and Autobild Sportscars) from the Nordschleife and the Sachsenring because it was too loud. A first for a street legal car. 😎

    The sound is infernal, it enters your brain and for a few seconds, you hate it but then, some sort of addictive mechanism sets in and your brain feels like one with the whole sound experience. It is difficult to describe.

    Also, in Corsa mode, the transmission makes those hissing and "breathing" noises, as if it is directly connected to your ass and brain, absolutely amazing.

    these cars are way too heavy to be enjoyable...

    the GT3 is already borderline...and there is 250kg difference at best...

    think Alpine...and start to worry about EV fast pigs

    I think that's just some internal name. Depending on the power I think we will see a Huracán LP 620-4 or LP 640-4.

    I've been told Huracan Evo, which is short for Evoluzione and is actually referring to the facelift.

    Data should be available latest next month since production is supposed to start in February and the car will be in Geneva.

    New 2019 Lamborghini Huracán previewed ahead of unveiling (Autocar)

    Lamborghini will imminently reveal the updated-for-2019 Huracán, and the first preview images have emerged.

    Following the run-out Huracán Performante launched last year, the Ferrari 488rival will receive a number of revisions that reflect the recent changes made to the mechanically similar Audi R8. It's expected this will involve a power hike, chassis upgrades and minor styling tweaks. 

    The Huracán has been on sale since 2014 with only minor changes to the base coupé and Spyder convertible variants. Prototypes for the 2019 model have previously been caught in prototype Spyder form testing with the usual patterned disguise.

    Despite the camouflage wrap, several visual changes are evident for the new model. These include a redesigned front bumper with a more intricate design for the air intakes, which could adopt active shutters or flaps to boost aerodynamics. Further visual tweaks include a new horizontal fin for the side air scoops, while more significant changes are seen at the back.

    Every variant in the Huracán range looks set to adopt the Performante's high-mounted centre twin exhaust system, so in turn it's reasonable to expect greater acoustics from the 5.2-litre V10. A new rear diffuser shows the car could benefit from Lamborghini's active aero tech previewed by the Aventador SVJ, while reprofiled lights surround additional rear vents to boost cooling. 

    The Huracán will follow its facelifted Audi R8 sibling, due for a reveal later this year, and is expected to adopt the same mechanical tweaks. Both cars are expected to see power rise by around 20-30bhp, with more torque, despite a host of new particulate filtration systems necessary to meet WLTP emissions regulations. Expect fractional improvements to the 0-62mph time of the Huracán, approaching the three-second mark, and a slightly higher top speed.

    Lamborghini is looking to update the Huracán's cabin to ensure it keeps pace with newer supercar rivals. We're likely to see a new, Audi-inspired infotainment system, alongside uprated switchgear. Don't expect to see the amount of autonomous driver assist technology shared with other VW Group brands, as it's set to remain as pure a driver's car as it's possible to be in modern times.

    More importantly, the Huracan facelift gets a revised seating position, meaning that even "big" and/or tall guys fit now pretty well, with enough headroom left for a helmet.

    Funny that the article mentions a 20-30 hp power bump for the Huracan and R8 facelift, when the R8 facelift is already known to carry a 10 hp increase in power.

    That looks so cool and so much cleaner than the current one. Maybe now is the time for RC to take the plunge and move away from the R8 and get that Lambo he always talks about. Good thing he waited this long. 😎

    1. I'm not a fan of the new one, especially because of that "funny" looking rear spoiler lip but also because of the particulate filter.

    2. I already ordered a new Huracan Performante over a month ago, you seemed to have missed it. Delivery is April/May, with some luck I may be able to do a factory pickup. 😎

    There really isn't that great a difference. The side air intakes gain extra slats and the rear design is actually fussier than the current car. It's a well established Lamborghini trait where the initial design is the purerst/cleanest in terms of flowing design with the mid life refresh introducing more revisions that are there more to differentiate the update than anything else.

    I don't know what is worse: introducing a Gen. 1 model with deliberate design flaws so you can fix them with the mid-life update (the Porsche way), or doing a midlife update with unnecessary changes just to differentiate the updated model from the original one (the Lamborghini way)... Smiley
