nberry:I don’t see the point of this car. Driving it on public streets would elicit jokes and giggles. Personally I would be embarrassed driving it on public roads.
If you buy it just to go to Starbucks and back sure, but that could apply to any track oriented sportscar on the market that never actually sees the track, but nothing wrong with driving this car on the street as well as the track, or to the track or a mountain road.
This car is the F1 ethos applied to a road car, nothing compares to it, just its 1000HP atmospheric V12 11,000 revving engine is out of this world, especially in this day and age of cheap turbo horsepower overweight cars and lack of emotion and character. I think it even surpasses what the Mclaren F1 was in its time, by a mile. Kudos to those lucky few that will ever get to experience such a machine

Let's see how much of this will be street legal...Mercedes seems to have serious (certification) issues with their Project One, mainly because of the noise level produced.

Seriously? Trying to make a F1 car for the streets is a gimmick to sell a useless vehicle to rich buyers.

Tell that to all those professional race car drivers who ordered a Project One from AMG.

Are you sure about this statement I watched a drive buy video of the Project One and it sounded so so quiet compared to other hyper cars

CGX car nut:Plenty of ordinary people probably think the same about Nick when he rolls up to Starbucks in a bright green 911 GT3 RS that costs multiple more times than the average car on the road.
Porsche 911’s are recognized as street sport cars. The Valkyrie is F1 car being shoehorned as a street car. Vast difference.
BTW, do you own a sport car and if so, which brand and model do you own?
