I believe it is priced at $800,000. Like Ferrari with the Monsa, an effort to pick the pockets of their super wealthy clients.

It's 702k Euros before VAT and options. Typically USD prices are similar to price in Euros including 20% VAT.  So, I think close to $900k before options, maybe more (Motorsports products have no mandate to give competitive price break to US market like series production cars)...

I also spoke to one of the drivers that helped develop this car. It is crazy fast in its acceleration. Unbelievable! Just driven my GT2 for a couple of days at Spa and that is not an easy car to drive on the limit. Quite nervous in the back..... So this one will be a handful...!!!smiley

I was confirmed to get the GT2 ClubSport, Walliser dropped this bombshell on us.

The 935 will be sold via the Motorsport department, not via the retail channel, so owning a 918 or not makes no difference.

They wanted the car to go to non collectors. they wanted the car to be run on tracks.

There are a few names that are guaranteed to get one, ex factory drivers, big race team owners, family members, etc.

Outside of that, it's a crap shoot. Relevant people's people have been blowing up the last 2 days asking to get a car. Most will be disappointed.

I did strongly express my interest to obtain one, to both Weissach and PMNA, as the car will be sold via PMNA for North America.

It's not a street legal GT2RS dressed up. Its more like it's cousin GT2 ClubSport getting dressed up.

The GT2 ClubSport was designed from the grounds up to be a race car, it was never a street legal thing. And the 935 is also a race car, that's designed to be run on slicks.

Being a not-road legal car means it weeds out a load of flippers right away.

    Congrats Nick on GT2CS!

Being not street legal, that means you have to keep it at Area 27.

I'm confused, there will be a GT2 CS (like a Cayman GT4 CS? ) AND the 935? Thought the 935 was "that" GT2 CS

    Re: OFFICIAL: 911 GT2 RS (2017)

Yes, there will be a GT2CS.

Same concept as the GT4CS. GT2RS engine and transmission in a Cup car body with better aero ad run on slicks.

    The 935 is a re-bodied GT2CS.

In case anyone was still on the fence to order this car (ha ha), Carfection and Henry C. just posted a nicely filmed road review.... sorry no track time.  A bit surprising is the sound - so they can actually make a turbo with character?

I presume no news on your car.

Does insurance pay market price or sale price and what are you going to replace it with?

No sign of car. Insurance want to pay sales price. (What p*sses me off is that they don't want to pay for the PPF.)

The 2RS was an extremely frustrating experience, drove it 7 times before it went somewhere else.
What was supposed to be a a fun and interesting journey turned out to be a nightmare.
When I think of GT2RS's all I can relate to is of course to this sad story - Not sure I'd want one anymore even if I could have one.

Other car: I have been using my 997 GT3 a lot and it is such a fun car to drive. I haven't sold my 991.1 GT3RS so I'll probably keep the 991.1 until 992 GT3 RS comes around.
