    From the side view it looks larger than S-class to me. It could be the lower roof line that creates the visual but the car is B I G.

    Someone posted the dimensions some time back.

    If I remember well it is just below 5 meters. The S class is 5.08m and 5.21m in long version.
    A BMW 5-series is 5.85m.

    I don't think it's a problem since Porsche has tested it back to back on the ring against other cars. The outcome was that the Panamera not only meet the expectations but exceeded them by offering performance close to the 911.

    If we take wheel diameter, on this pics., as an 'etalon' - it turns out that ther's 9.5 wheels in the lenght of a car .
    Now , if we assume that this wheels are 19" (it looks to me like that) >> 19"=0.483m >> 9.5 x 0.483 = 4.58m (appx)

    There is very little "camo" on this car, certainly nothing that would add length or width to the dimensions. This seems to be more than a mule, but rather a pre-production example w/ some minor external disguise.

    I am not biased and not even a prospective buyer, but I think the car looks great already. When the detailing is revealed I expect it to look fantastic!

    Couldn't agree more. Even if it turns out to not be as hideous as it would seem, I don't think it can escape being a boring looking car.

    I think that this car still has a lot of camo, particularly in the rear. The actual car is much thinner and curvy in the rear, or so I'm told.

    Exhaustive testing of the Hill Hold facility?

    More likely reason is that Porsche are putting the car out and about in more densely populated areas now so that it will generate more free exposure on the 'net as spy snappers are sure to spot it.

    What's wrong with SF? Actually I believe these pics were taken on the Fillmore St. hill. If you want real world evaluation of a clutch, no better place. This is just minutes from the GG Bridge, who knows maybe they were thrashing it over in the Marin headlands. Also there is a lot of R&D facilities here in California. I just learned that BMW has a major facility a few miles from where I live after all these years. So maybe they're doing something along those lines. Or the more likely option, I don't have a clue.

    Apparently there will be a 4S version as was brought up before. Looks like the turbo and 4S version will be 4wd the S will be rear wheel drive only.
