    Drove a veyron on the track today!!!woooooooooow

    i had a fantastic day today in Qatar on the Doha track, it was an event hosted by michelin to their top dealers, the organizer is a friend of mine and got me a vip pass. the event started with driving the new dodge viper 6.4, a porsche 911 turbo, a ferrari 430, a McLaren SLR and a Bugatti Veyron..
    and Wow, what a veyron, a cruise missile! the sound, the feeling, everything! the whistle of the 4 turbos, the waste gates releasing the air together, the airbrake are magical. then the push from 120 to 300 just never stops, lightening fast. our brain when not trained doesn't realize what is happening.

    Sounds like you had a blast

    I saw a Veyron here in Luxembourg a while back. I was in traffic, and when I noticed it, I hit the breaks and gazed in awe!
    I have already seen a few Carrera GTs driving around, and an SLR, but nothing compares to the Veyron!! It's not a question about the design, but rather about the technology...a one of its kind!

    3 Veyrons = 4 Million
    + 4 SLRS = 2.5 Million
    + 2 Vipers = $200K
    + 200 gallons of hi-octane = $300 (Arab prices )

    = One helluva good, but expensive time.

    the veyron IS something, i am happy it exists, i am happy i was able to experience it.
    the veyron for me is exactly like the concorde.. there will never be another one.. development cost is too high, worldwide economic situation, co2 emissions standards, gas prices etc

    the braking power is amazing , huge CCB's with the air brake. when floored from 120kph, honestly i counted twice it took around 7 seconds to reach 300! and all of this in absolute luxury, class and elegance. when driven slow the car is smooth.
    The power gauge is really accurate. on another car on the straight line the gauge was going to 960HP instead of 1001HP. the bugatti engineer confirmed after he plugged his pc, there was an issue, that he arranged, after that the gauge was showing 1001HP...

    thanks mike. and honestly if i was in your shoes, i would definitely trade 2 or 3 cars from your garage for a veyron. an lp640, a phantom, a carrera a 430 can be bought anytime, while you could only grab a veyron these two years. they limited the production to 300 cars, they already made 200+
    try to arrange a test drive on your next trip to europe, you won't regret it.

    IMO it is a special privilege to drive this "maximum hyper-car". Our lebanese friend must feel honoured.

    I've read sometime ago that it is a bargain too at the selling price of 1 million Euro(?), because it costs 4 (or it 5) times that much to produce!

    Another extravagance from the uber-engineer Ferdinand Piech! No wonder they want to keep him as away from Porsche as possible.

    Allan lambopower? good to see you here buddy. i was happily surprised with the SLR, the problems starts on curves, its really heavy. its more of a straight liner. but the built quality, the sound, the seating position, the interior were all amazing. and the front end of the car looks sick

    few data about the veyron i was given:

    set of 4 michelin tyres: 12,000 euro
    set of tyres and wheels: 58,000 euro
    new engine: 470,000 euro
    10 radiators
    tyres will last at full speed 14 minutes before exploding
    full tanks will last 12 minutes, so no worry about the tyres exploding
