    Re: MotoGP

Woah, what a race! Really enjoyed it, especially last couple of laps... !

    Re: MotoGP

DesmoDovi is a decent rider and knows for sure how to handle this italian beast, but MM is by far the best rider of the pack (even though I dislike him since he destroyed VR46's championship a fe years back)!

Again a mediocre performance of JLo (he isn't worth any dime of his huge salary @Duc) and DP26 (this should be his last year @MotoGP)!

Great ride by Danilo, CrazyCarl and TopGun Vinales woke up to late to challenge at least the GOAT (VR46).

The old man is still in good shape and having for sure the #3 bike of this years championship (#1 = Duc, #2 = Honda) we won't see so many close battles as Qatar has always been in the past Yamaha-land...

Poor Rins to fall of the bike he was doing great whilst the Maniac AI wasn't been visible at all.

    Re: MotoGP

I must say that in MotoGP everything happens....this time mm was a bit over the rules, not with VR but in the start, you cannot do it...just not make him race..so easy.

strange gp , and JL really bad..to bad...we will see what happens nxt races

Only just watched the race of last week... I was always a big Marquez fan, but this... I don't understand! I can imagine some kind of red mist, but come on... he's got so much experience by now, he should have known not to loose his cool...

Now his team fired him, and his contract for MV Agusta next year got cancelled..

    Re: MotoGP

~10 yrs ago someone did that in Superbikes or some equivalent class on slow down lap and flipped the opponent. I think he got away with a year ban or so.

Fenati's a repeat offender, so I think he can start looking for a new job unrelated to motor racing.

    Re: MotoGP

Good to hear he has been fired, he clearly has serious problems with self control and rage, it wasn't a one time thing. Unfortunately a person like that will be destructive to others where ever he goes, he can be responsible of doing anything without thinking the consequences like a normal person would.

When I saw the footage, I was absolutely baffled! How enraged must you be as a professional, to think "oh wait, I'll get him, I'll squeeze his brakes, that'll teach him!"... absolutely frightening.

That's probably the case I remembered.  Canepa is still active in SBK?

    Re: MotoGP

Criminal assault charges should filed against that guy regardless of what the sporting body or racing teams do.

    Re: MotoGP

+1 If that would of happened on the street it would surely be the case wouldn't it? I don't see why it should be different in a race if it was something intentional.

Well now reading this, it was in testing so I'm not sure if FIM even handles this before court, let alone gave a ban of any sort.

Front brake grab and kicking you off the gear are the classic dirty tricks so there probably are loads of cases in the past like this.

    Re: MotoGP

It was a simple brake check. In fairness the other guy may have been similarly endangering him just prior. I can’t believe this was done out of the blue. Lifetime ban either way seems reasonable.

    Re: MotoGP

Latest info is that he has 'retired' from racing. Not sure he had a choice.

    Re: MotoGP

good he retired, and he is gonna have a very seriuos police investigation for attempting homicide!!

You cannot give kids that immage of sport!!!! he could have had 1000 reasons cause other where playing over the line with him, but you can NEVER do this.

Totally fed up with Moto GP...

Now worse than F1 - no overtaking and Marquez beyond dominent!!

    What's happened to Lorenzo?

Valentino Rossi - finished, but not surprising as he's now over 40...

Not worth watching any more - shame!

    Re: MotoGP

Marquez's domination has a lot to do with it, he is simply the greatest rider of all time. Nothing wrong with Lorenzo, he is just having to compete with the same bike with Marquez and that makes him look bad because no one is at the level of Marquez.

I have been following motorcycle racing since the epic duels between Wayne Rainey and Kevin Schwartz, followed the progress of greats like Rossi from 125cc till now, but I have never seen someone so above the everyone else as Marquez, so precoceous, so competitive, fearless and aggressive, so successful in a time with good competition (unlike Doohan's championships with Honda for example), someone who developed a new superior crazy driving style that everyone else is unsuccessfully trying to do to be able to compete with him, it is spectacular.

26 years old and already has a 125cc and Moto2 championships, and now 6 motoGP championships (6 of the last 7), and still has many years left...

Unfortunately now with him at his prime, has rendered motoGP uncompetitive, but at least it is because of a GOAT rider and not the bike, unlike F1 where it's just the best car that wins and not because to the driver...

I started watching MotoGP this year and.......WOW!

Amazing races! Quali and Races are so unpredictable! F1 is extremely boring comparing to MotoGP.

I guess this year is more fun to watch because unfortunately or fortunately Marc Marquez had that nasty accident in the first race and hes injured. .(He ran out of the track and recovered from last position to 3rd place in like 10 laps Smiley. Hes Honda team mates are always at the botton of the grid. He has insane skills...)

Rossi is a great rider. He's 41 years old and he finishes in top 5 most of the times.

Also, I'm rooting for the portuguese Miguel Oliveira #88 of course Smiley. Hes been performing well but unfortunately he is very unlucky. Last race was the 3rd time that a KTM rider crashed into him. He was 5th Smiley

For people bored with Formula 1, I strongly recommend watching MotoGP. You will not be disappointed Smiley

    Re: MotoGP

Here'a a post-race interview with Rossi with some onboard video. Watch closely from around 0:55. Smiley
