    The BIG flaw in these cars from a styling POV?

    How the grille acts as a "picture frame" for the license plate.

    Soooooooo ridiculous to "feature" your LP as the most important part of the front end of the car by giving it so much prominence.

    Notice how they've tried to tone this error down by putting a darkening mask over the plate:

    Nice.

    But this is still the 8 Cylinder, isnt it? Whats about the V10 or W12 TDI?

    Yes, I was thinking they would introduce the V10 in Paris

    I TOTALLY agree. the LP is just ruining the front. the R8's license plate is an impressive and strong design element but totaly overtaken by the importance given to the LP. they should find a way to downplay it without ruining the car;s front. remember how amazing the V12TDI looked without a licence plate screwing with the front??

    Just this-in EU fornt licence plate is mandetory.

    If I were a designer I'd have tried (yeah suuuure ) to find a place for the LP even it it meant changing the grille.

    I can't believe that that much grill area is needed for cooling especially if it's approved to block most of it with a lic plate.

    Needed for ventilation! I think not! Actually photo shows half the grill is solid plastic!!

    Stylists don't give a sht what the car looks like when it gets prepped for rolling out of the showroom.

    Here's a better example of the "beautiful" LP. The car makes a perfect background for it. Imagine some nice juicy red or yellow plate like in some of the US states!

    I love the R8. I had it for a day last week and can honestly say I have never been more impressed with a car!

    A yellow plate is how I know someone from New Jersey (with no idea how to drive) is nearby, and alerts me to avoid them.

    when press-release of R8 V10? i'm curious about performances-specs-data results

    I guess faster then 997 turbo(I think also 997 turbo FL) and more&less fast as lp560

    R8 V10 intro Detroit 2009. Sales in Germany March 2009. Faster on the Ring then 997.2 Turbo.
