    Look, the GTR is as ugly as [beep], and while it may be powerful (fast), it is heavy and cannot have the feel and precision of a GT3. Finally, you cannot get it with a manual transmission!?

    I'm glad its out there and pushing some envelopes, but it is clearly not for me. There is NOTHING about that car that I find appealing.

    Just going fast is not exciting. A monkey could do it. Its about the experience, not the raw numbers.

    I had my GT2 on track today. A GTR was there also. The driver tried to catch me. He had good power on the straights, I would let him get close and then pull away in the turns and out accelerate him on exit then coast so he could get close again and do the samething over. It took 5 laps for his brakes to give way.

    No matter how "just as good but cheaper" I can't buy a very ugly car based on a Japanese comic book.

    But that's just me.

    HLisk, so u mean that the GTR was quick in the straights but not as quick as the stock GT2?
    What you describe is 2 cars in a different league..
    Now driving skill may have sth to do with it but from what I ve heard the GTR is a really easy car to drive..

    The driver of the GTR is a accomplished DE school driver. He has owned GT 3, C5 Z06, 997 Turbo, 2008 Viper and now a new GTR. He really thought he could keep up with the GT2 on the straights. In my rear view I could that the GTR had a lot of body roll, showing heavy push in tight corners but accelerating hard out of the corners. I really didn't show him all that the GT2 will do, I wanted to keep him close so that he would push the GTR even harder. His brakes faded out and he didn't go back on track. When he preps his car for track driving it should do better. My GT2 came ready for track driving. The only things I've done to the GT2 is put 3M on front end, tape on sides, ripoffs on windsheld and 5 point belts.
