Yeah, that was two weeks ago when they clinched the constructor's championship. Yesterday, Michael clinched his 7th world driver's championship in a row.

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

Not exactly 'in a row' though still unbeleavable

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

    This is fantastic!
    The proof that globalisation works!
    What an amazing team!!!
    German driver
    French boss
    French engine chief
    British strategist
And I'm sure that they are plenty of italians engineers, it's just that, not being an enormous F1 fan, the names that spring to my mind when I think Ferrari are:
    Schumacher, Totd, Hiss and Brawn.

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

    Hey fanch,
don't forget the cool Brazilian guy Ruben.

Right, the first two came much earlier with Benneton...

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

True I like him a lot, but the guy is overshadowed by Schumacher.
He's just a fantastic pilot I guess, his german mate is an alien!

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

I want a new dash plate for my car!

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

    Amazing, simply amazing work!

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

    Fanch,

    Are you sure about this?

I thought Paulo Martinelli (an Italian) was in charge of engine development!?!?

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

What impresses me most about the Ferrari team, besides Michael Schumacher, is the reliability of the cars.
(Not something normally associated with italian cars )

Michael Schumacher has now run 51 races in a row without a technical failure. The last time he retired from technical failure was the GP at Hockenheim in 2001 due to loss of fuel pressure. That is unbelievable!

Compare that to f.ex. McLaren who has barely managed to get one of their cars to finish this season.

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

You could be right. I am not 100% sure.
I thought it was Jean-Jacques His.
But maybe he's in charge of road cars engines, which is totally different.

One reason might be the perfect match between Schumacher, the development team, mechanics, etc. They all are a big family, Schumacher does what he does for fun only because he really doesn't need the money anymore and all people involved in development seem to enjoy themselves and have fun. In such a good atmosphere, only good things can come from.

yes. j j his is responsible for the upcoming road car engines, paolo martinelli (it) is head of F1 engine development.

and we should not forget rory byrne, the chassis designer and head of aerodynamics.

    Re: Felicitazione -- Ferrari

That's right! and he's South African, isn't he?

    Truly an international operation
