yupp - thats nothing special. By running couple of hours on the track, they are changing wheels frequently.
Car looks very familiar... its the same than a 996 - so thats why.
For me - the 997 is a brilliant looking car, but unfurtunatley optical as well as technical to close on the 996. It's a pity!

It sounds like we're in the same situation Lars (you have a 996 cab right), you worse than me bc you have the 345 hp engine.
If I upgrade, it probably won't be the cab as it will be too similar, maybe the 997 Turbo who knows?
Too many novelties coming in the next couple of years not to disregard them anyway (Aston V8, Ferrari Spider, New Pininfarina Maserati). The last one I've been confirmed will be good for 440-450 hp and be introduced sooner than expected due to disastrous results of the current model.
Good! Nothing like more offer for us consumers!

Easy:
- in terms of the technical that Lars reffered to, how about an engine with a significant power upgrade from the outgoing 996 worthy of a new model? not even the 997S version gives you that.
- and in terms of the optical part, how about a bit more differentiation between the 997 and 996 like in the 964->993 for example?

It would be interesting to know how power, weight, acceleration and price figures have changed for different models through the years (think 911, M3, M5). My gut feeling is that Porsche is at least in danger of falling behind in terms of raw power which as we all know is only one criteria for sports cars. Does anyone know of such a list?

Headlights more like those of the future Boxster.

I'm still not a major fan of the 997 front bumper.
The rear is perfect.
Interior if fine as it is.
Leather should be standard though, with a reduction in price if you decide not to go for it. (just like the hard top option for the cab).
At this price, I think the Carrera is the only car in its category that doesn't offer standard leather. I know it's not about the leather, but still, a bit cheap.
