as it will be priced NOT below the F430, in fact possibly even higher, I do not see why these snobs could not just get 360s or 430s if they want a Ferrari. Therefore I do not see the point.
afaic, the Cali will steal significant market shares from the people buying SL63, SL65 amg, Bentley Cont GTs, aston DB9s, Carrera Turbos, GT2s. So I guess they are the snobs, LOL

Yes you are right who ever buys this car is nothing more than a snob I don't care the car he/she had before/has in his garage! Because is no more than a bad design as seen before could have been designed by Honda, or Toyota...

I don't understand what all this talk about snobbery is. I'm thinking I might buy a cali. Reasons are:
1) I'm not an automotive purist.
2) I am a sucker for cars with folding hard tops.
What does that leave me with in the sports car department?
BMW M3, Merc SL(K), Ferrari California
I don't think the BMW got the top right, it doesn't look as good up as the coupe. SLK is not really a sports car in my book.
So we have SL vs Cali. I like the look of the latter better, and it will be a better sports car, including DCT. The interior will be nicer as well. I don't think it's as good looking as the aston martins or the other ferraris, but I do think it has an amazing profile (check out the 599 side-by-side pic above) with the roof both up and down.
