W737 Recall
Has anyone gotten this notice?
Got a notice late last week (Thursday, June 26) about a recall called "W737." As I was having some cooling system problems (loss of some fluid), I took it in. According to my service receipt, the W737 campaign was to "deactivate speed setting 1 of the Engine Compartment Blower. The design of the speed control mechanism of the engine compartment blower can cause a thermal overload of the supply line if the engine-compartment blower is sluggish or blocked in speed setting 1. What the service folks did was to reprogram the DME control unit by reading out and erasing the fault in the memory.
