Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm going to pick up her hopefully tomorrow or the day after. Will post some more pics as soon as I have some
@Futch: You have to appreciate the irony when the Boxster is now considered as manly
@DuckieRS: It's Jet Black. The car literally just got off the transporter. Still very dirty and dusty from it's 4 weeks in transit from Germany
Just sitting in the car will be fun !!! No need to drive it Great interior, it fits this car so well . And those buckets are so comfortable . I drove the other day 550 km non stop and had no issue at all . No back pain, nothing . In the sports seats in my Carrera, after about three hours of driving I start to have pain on the low part of my back .

Thank you guys! Highly appreciated
@Joost: I took a gamble on the seatbelts, thought it would tie in nicely with the silver trim of the classic interior. I don't think they look bad though
@gnil: I agree, those seats are beyond comfortable! Plus they look amazing. Two birds with one stone
Joost:Wonderful Mike, congrats!
BTW, are those silver seatbelts? They really stand out, seems like an odd choice, not too sure about that.
I think they just catch the light in that particular shot in a way they would not in normal conditions, making them look shiny.

Ah that makes sense! The pics don't really show the seatbelts together with any of the other silver details, so that doesn't help.
Did you already take delivery of the car? Looking forward to hearing your impressions (that, and of course seeing some stunning pictures of the Spyder in the wonderful SA landscape )
We are thinking of selling the beauty... Mss doesn't like it at all... She misses the comfort of an electrical roof and the car is far too noisy on long runs on the motorway.... When driving open, it's too windy in the cabin...
I can't say she has no point.
But to me , It's by far the most thrilling porsche i had. From a driver's point of view, i find it just stupifying, bloody gorgeous... I like it utmost... but my other half ...
So when you know interested people, give a buzz. It's not really decided yet, but i presume we will sell it in the end... and i will be wheaping... that's 100% sure

That sucks
I guess that's the problem with these raw, focussed cars that we crave - for most people they're just too much. I test drove another sports car earlier today - fantastic, but quiet and refined. The weird clunking, grinding and loudness of the GT3 put a smile on my face on the way home, but I can see how others would hate it.

That sucks Belter! Will you lose much money on it like a normal Porsche or has it held its value like a GT4? None has been sold here by owners so that market has not yet been tested! But GT4 has been commanding a premium. Hope at the very least you don't lose too much money on it and is able to jump into another Porsche.
SciFrog:That's why Porsche is toning down the regular 911, that's what most people want and that's what sells...
I am trying to understand when they specifically started with this "toning down" and I keep iterating down the model numbers 991, 997, 996, 993, ...
Beltar, sorry to hear that the Spyder might have to go

Sorry to hear that . Can't you keep it for yourself and get something else for the ' family ' ? The car will not lose much value , so keeping it will not be at a loss ( or much ) .
I agree with what other's have been said . The general buyers don't want noise, shakes, vibrations etc... They want the best but it has to be comfortable No wonder car manufacturers don't know where to go to satisfy customers .
