Rami:
The Murci is unbeatable when it comes to street presence (the only thing that can be placed higher is a Zonda F imho) but when it comes to real driving the LP560 is 10 times the car the LP640 is.
Jesus Rami this is truly amazing, you don´t stop to put all like .
I still remeber back in 2000 when you use to have your twin Turbo Boxster made by PSI Motorsport in Belgium, same guys who drop the 3.4L 300Hp Carrera engine on my 98 Boxster , and the wonderful photos you used to post back them. Well, nowadays the photos still look amazing, but the content, OMG it´s a world of difference . Congrats congrats congrats, what an amazing lot of cars you have been owning since then, and this last one is art on wheels.
Back to the thread, can you specify a bit more your last statement? I´m sure everybody here wants to know more about your ownership experience with those two exoctic.
I´ve seen your Turbo R for sale few months ago on a website and it´s not there anymore, did you sold it already? Regarding power, there was nothing that come close to that beast right?

Hey J!
Yeah man, I'm still a bit sad I sold that Boxster "RS" :)
Regarding a comparison between the LP640 and LP560: it really is a world of difference. I knew this after a month of LP640 ownership. I was kinda dissapointed that I sold the Gallardo Spyder. I missed the way you could play with that car.
Like I said the LP640 is a car that leaves an impact like no other when it comes to street presence but in the end it's the person who is behind the wheel that needs to enjoy the car, not the people standing by. And that is where it failed. It's too wide, too heavy, no visibility whatsoever, etc
It became all that more clear when I drove my LP640 Roadster to the LP560-4 Roadshow. I testdrove one for about 40 minutes and I was immediately blown away. Suspension way better, E-gear uncomparable to the LP640, starting from a complete standstill works perfect (not the case with pre-FL Gallardo's or LP640's), all round visibility, smaller turning circle, and so on.
When I entered my LP640 again and drove off my first reaction was, and this is no joke: "WTF is this?!?"
I have put 17000km on the LP640 in 1 year time. And that is simply way too much for that type of car. It's no problem with the Gallardo be it in pre-FL or LP560 edition. I use all my cars as DD's and the LP640 is just not suitable for that. At first you're ok with that but it slowly start creeping up on you. And for that kind of money I want to feel great at all times :)
I have now 2750km on my LP560-4 Spyder (in 3 weeks time!) and I absolutely love everything about that car. Ok, the Spyder is slower than the coupé (which is slightly faster than the LP640 or 599GTB!!!) but the pure joy of driving open top doesn't compete with gaining a few tenths of a second to 100kph.
The Turbo R (Rt12) is sold indeed. The car is now in Spain (Barca for now but will go to Marbella). Nothing comes close to that one though (performance wise). Especially on speeds above 200kph it was mindblowing.
I haven't bought a replacement for the Rt12 yet but I'm shopping ... I will make a decision before the end of September.

Rami thanks for your comments, it really opens your mind, and it is not necessary to have the best of a brand to enjoy it 100%, I have mixed feelings regarding the murcielago, and it is quite interesting to know that a LP540-4 is ¨better¨ than a LP640....For sure both of them are insane, specially your new 560, it looks 10/10 !!!
BTW, what is going to be the replacement of the RT12 ???????????

Hi Rami,
Thank you for the good read
Have I missed your LP560-4 Spyder thread
It is my favorite open top car on the market, well besides 16M.
Would like to see pictures of your car.
It is trully astonishing car.
Some how I got an invitation here in İstanbul for the Sunday where Official Lambo dealer presents LP550-2 Balboni edition and regular LP560-4 on İstanbul Park F1 Race track with italian pilots
Tell you the truth, I'm excited since I haven't driven a Lambo so far

I haven't known that LP560-4 is faster than both LP640 and F599. It is faster than R8 V10, but a car faster than a LP640 is a real fast Car
What is the difference between Gallardo's E-Gear and LP-560's E-Gear?
Software or hardware wise??
