    Do not forget that there is a Sports chrono Plus mode with PDK .
    According to the first comment on this , it does feel like a sequential gear box.

    But did any of you drove allready this new 911 with the PDK or is it that you just like making sentences for the good of the argument? Because if not all this is just guessing not irrelevant.

    No, I did not drive it yet. BUT, good friend of mine who works for Motorpresse(conpany that publishes AMS and Sport Auto) did and this is also his personal opinion after more then 900km's at the wheel of 997.2 with PDK.
    He owns 997 GT3 and he said to me that new 997.2 with PDK is good car but, far behinde in drivers involvment in comparsion to his GT3. Specially with PDK...

    I will save my personal opinion about PDK till test drive.

    Kreso, you don't need to prove your credentials

    PDK is a replacement for tip in the 997FL, no doubt about it, the puddles say it all (albeit a much better one).

    Good enough to forget the manual? Hard to say yet.

    The Veyron tranny also weighs as much as a Gallardo V10 and costs as much as a 997 Carrera .

    I wonder if there will be many claims for blown engines from people using the stick for gear shifting? I mean it seems logical to change up a gear by pulling back the stick not pushing forward.

    Can you imaging just applying logic for a moment whist raping your car through the gear box and selecting 3rd instead of 5th... Best use the buttons I think.

    You simply CAN'T do that! Why? PDK AI will override your manual input and switch to auto mode and decide what gear you really need... That is the fact.

    Even in Sport Plus mode PDK can override your manual input(via puddles a ka button switches or stick) and decide to do its own gearshift.

    I have about 6 pages of impression from my Motorpresse friend in German...

    I'm not convinced that PDK is the way for me to go at the moment so will wait a while and see what happens. Personally I still prefer manual.

    All AM manuals(and Sportshift) are from Graziano. Touchtronic in DB9 is SOTA autobox from ZF.

    All Ferrari F1 boxes are from Graziano as well. New California use DCT from Getrag.

    Audi R8 and Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 use gearboxes from Graziano as well.

    Porsche 997 Turbo, GT2 and GT3 manuals are from Getrag. Old 997 manual was from Aisin...

    Was going through a list of old manual gearboxes that will vanish in the next 5 ~ 8years and found out that 997 GT2/GT3 gearboxes are made by Aisin G97/88

    Thanks fritz!

    Had a feeling something wasn't quiet right, the 911 book which I've received from Japan also shows the manual gearbox for the GT/Turbo is listed under Getrag's name.
