the turbos/ gt2/ gt3 in 996 form have never had a spare.
they come iwth a can of fix-a-flat whcih works fine most of time except the rather rare occaision that you get a big hole in the tire.
but you can probably get a space saver and put it in the front trunk (if you are really that paranoid about being stranded... but honestly, how often to you go to the middle of nowhere, in a TT-S)
the 2005 TT-S is a great 'value' if there is such a thing, in terms of options that it includes.
to option a normal TT to just some of the basic things the TT-S comes with, such as ceramic brakes and X50, would cost over 30k, whereas the TT-S comes with all these for a measily 10k, and also comes with the S on the back - which we know is worht alot more in the future.
