    600LTProductOverview.pdf

All you ever wanted to know about the 600LT...

Quoted weight is based on no aircon, satnav or audio system.. sneaky..  All no-cost options to restore.  Think I read no carpet? crikey.

Slightly worrying is that it looks like the harness support only comes as part of the pro clubsport pack, which includes a carbon roof and other bits.  Sounds expensive.

Thanks for posting!  I think you're going to really enjoy this car!  Scuderia?

    DaveGordon:

Popped in and had a chat earlier. Sounds like a pretty serious car. The salesman was confident that it is a full-on track optimised car, not compromised to be playful/fun in the same way the 570S is. So likey to be a lot quicker on track. Brakes from the 720 are Brembo. The standard level of equipment is high: full alcantara, carbon buckets, light forged wheels. Proper support for a 6-point harness. The fancy Senna seats are a 7k option. The exterior carbon bling is all optional, standard would be the gunmetal painted finish as on the normal car. There’s also a clubsport pack, but didn’t see what was in that. Rear spoiler has a ceramic coated centre section so it doesn’t catch fire indecision

Dealer saw it at the track last week, said it was LOUD, sounded amazing.

Flaming wing would be a unique selling proposition.   The specs sound amazing.

Yes there will be another LT from the 720 series.

I have pretty much settle down on the range 500-600HP though, plenty fast enough.

Smiley At a weight figure under 1300 kg, the 600LT will be a rocket. Also, we all know that McLaren underrates their power claims.

weight will be more like 1380kg according to Mclaren Zürich and compared to the 675lt (advertised and real weight)

But i think under or around 1400kg with around 600-630hp is still ok for this sport series lt

1380kg sound about right for McLaren's usual claim of dry weight vs real world weight. Actually it will be closer to 1400kg or 3100lbs after all's said and done.

    Re: McLaren 600 LT

Had a 570S a couple of days ago and must say, that it was a blast. On the down side turbo lag is more present than in my 991,  the brake needs significant pressure and IRIS is last century tech . But seats and seating position are wonderful, I like the minimalistic interior design and the low weight (compared to the 991 turbo) makes it way more agile. Performance wise it seems to be in the same ballpark, but with more drama at high revs. I'm now looking into a 720S but depreciation seems to be quite high (sales guy claims that it has become better ), but the 600LT looks interesting too esp since I plan to use the car on the track. Has anyone experience tracking the 720 or any other comment ?

    Cheers
    Rick

Getting back to the 600LT (sorry indecision):

Interesting that it has so little rubber (225 and 285) - even less than GT4 (245 and 295) or way less than 3RS (265 and 325).  Probably helps with feel and weight, but has to give away some ultimate grip.

Yes, that is not a lot of rubber compared to the others. Then again the RS tire dimensions are a bit excessive.

Yes, that is not a lot of rubber compared to the others. Then again the RS tire dimensions are a bit excessive.

In general, I find that narrower tires are preferable.  Tends to give more steering feel and makes the car more adjustable at the limit (which is probably slightly lower as a result).  I like the idea of making the tires stickier, rather than bigger and heavier...

My 73 911 track car has only 205 and 225 tires (which is much bigger than stock 185's all around) Smiley

    Re: McLaren 600 LT

I wondered the same thing - whether they would increase tyre sizes to match its track ambitions, and was a little surprised to see them unchanged when I found that doc. On the other hand you can spec Trofeo R, so they should provide decent grip. If expensive.

Thanks - by no means a done deal though.. I need to see if I can spec one within budget. At the moment it looks like you have to buy the carbon roof in order to get the 6-point harnesses heart - doesn't sound cheap.

Smiley The E63S is a hog...compared to any serious sportscar.

But then, when you drive the car fast enough through twists and turns, you suddenly forget the weight.

Don't get lured-in with all the carbon bits and bobs - get the Senna seats and be done. McLaren is as bad with costs on carbon as Ferrari - I would keep as much alcantara as possible. In resale you hardly get +30k carbon options back.....

    Re: McLaren 600 LT

well if you see the clubsport spec, you need to tick several carbon options which are linked with different carbon packages indecision

one way or the other, if you want the proper spec, you will need to add useless carbon option to reach the needed option. this is a classic way to make more money...angry

at least, for clubsport, Porsche is not bad... the rest is just a joke smiley

    Re: McLaren 600 LT

Had the same impression when looking at the official 720S price list. Base model is not that expensive (for some definition of 'expensive') and there are only few driving relevant options. But Carbon/Paint/MSO adds up quickly.

    Re: McLaren 600 LT

My hope is: Some people will go for the 600LT and will hate it because it is too uncomfortable for them. So they will sell the car, hopefully at a reduced price (unless of course the production limitation will be so limited that the prices stay high). I can get a well optioned 570S with low mileage (6000-7000 km) for around 160k EUR, so... Maybe 200k for a well optioned used 600LT with low mileage aren't too far fetched. We'll see...

    Re: McLaren 600 LT

I didn't get the impression that these would be made in low numbers other than the limit imposed by the production slot (around 3 quarters). LT spider after that. I suspect i'll find with options it works out too much and I'll end up looking at the used market in a couple of years. We'll see though.

My jeweler sold his 675LT at a very interesting (according to buyer, he didn't want to say but my jeweler told me he basically gave it away for "free" just to get rid of it... Smiley) price tag, simply because he had very bad back pain in the car. He also owns a 570S which he loves and still drives. The buyer was very lucky, the 675LT is really an interesting car to drive.

    Re: McLaren 600 LT

fwiw: As Kreso already mentioned base price for the 600LT in Germany is 230k€ incl MwSt. Lift/Sesonsor/Camera is 4,8k€ Options are numerous esp in the carbon bling area. Three seat options available (description in the PDF Dave provided) two of which seem to come from the back pain department; heated memory sports seats available for 3,4k€. Estimation is around 1000 cars (not including the spider).

    Re: McLaren 600 LT

I still think I would get the Huracan Performante instead (sound, AWD) but the 600LT is definitely one of the cars I would consider in this price range, more than any Porsche, sorry to say that.
