Is it possible to retrofit an electronic hatch lock? I'm tired of slamming it closed everytime.
Thanks

I have to slam it but why did RC say something about the garage opener package? because I have that...
As far as I remember, the US has a different package without the electric hatch lock. But maybe somebody knows more...

in US, that's the PD4 Electric Comfort Package. it includes
Integrated garage door opener, selfdimming interior and exterior mirrors, electronic rear door closing, dimmer controlled interior lighting, and programmable homecoming illumination.

RC,
I don't know if this will help any, but leave one of your windows open by just a bit. My experience is that this allows you to use less force to close the rear hatch. The cars are tight and the air needs somewhere to go to so it doesn't "push" back on the hatch.

I should have been watching out for you Fritz !!
If you intend to drive after closing the hatch you simply hold the appropriate toggle in the "raise" posistion until the window is closed or; put the key in the lock on the driver's door, turn it clockwise (to the right) and hold it until the windows are all closed. Using the key even engages the alarm!!!!!!!!
