BjoernB:no you don't like turbocharged
I don't but I still like this car. Doesn't mean I would get it, still rooting for a R8 GT or something like that.

The McLaren 600LT’s silhouette has been elongated by 74 mm (2.91 inches), as the car features an extended front splitter, a longer rear diffuser and a fixed rear wing. If that’s not impressive enough, know that more than 23% of its parts are different than what you’ll find on a regular McLaren 570S Coupe.
With weight, a reduction of 96 kg (211 lbs) was achieved compared to the 570S Coupe, bringing the total dry weight to just 1,247 kg (2,749 lbs). Add to that the 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 engine, with 600 PS (591 HP) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque, and you get a power-to-weight ratio of 481 PS/tonne.
Lightweight carbon fiber bodywork contributes to the 600LT being light on its feet, while the unique top-exit exhausts give the car a distinctive look, while also providing it with a great soundtrack. Other features include the forged aluminum double-wishbone suspension, lightweight braking system, track-focused Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, quicker steering, sharpened responses from the throttle and brake pedals, firmer engine mounts and more downforce courtesy of the large rear diffuser.
sfo:in the UK, apparently around £35,000 (£185,000) more than 570S, which is not that ridiculous
Cheaper than Huracan Performante...and around the price tag of a well optioned 991.2 Turbo S, not bad.

SciFrog:McLaren keeps pushing the enveloppe. This looks really light...
Weight is amazing...Porsche and Lamborghini should really take an example. How does McLaren do it? Smaller margins? Better engineers? I don't get it.

So why don't Porsche or Lamborghini use a CF tube?

KresoF1:German base price is around 230.000€ with Mwst.
So, 18% more than GT3RS. I wonder if they will post a Nurburgring time? It will certainly crush a GT3RS where I live (high altitude)...

not necessarily faster than GT3RS on NS...McLaren is not really good at that but on normal tracks, sure it will kill it without going above 90% of the car capacity... the perf ration are astonishing for such a price.
Hope it will motivate Porsche to level up the game...

I believe the CGT had a CF tub.
Being adventurous can be risky but routine is lethal.
2750lbs dry works out to be around 3000lbs wet.
Wonder if they even count the battery for their dry weight.
Also love it that they had to mentioned 23% of the parts are different than a normal 570S. Ferrari never do that with the Speicale or the Pista. Neither do Porsche.

Still roughly 200 lbs lighter than GT3 RS with 100 hp more and 110 ft-lbs more...

Exactly why I have just placed an order with my dealer. Getting the first one in town. Decent price too, ~330k CAD optioned.

Congratulations. Don't think I have enough influence at the local McLaren dealership to even get on the list.

Yep, very good price for such a car.
Now some good lease offers from McLaren and I might give a turbo charged car a chance.
