    While I like the engineering changes (especially the new link rear suspension from the R8 and the electro-magnetic suspension), I'm not happy with the restyling.

    They tried to throw too much Revention into it.

    What is missing on the pic is the mesh on the back. It makes the rear a lot less bland in real.

    V8 bi turbo?

    If I was Audi, I would put 450hp in the R8 to kill the 997S and get close to the 997TT, and not offer an R8 with more hp, let the Gallardo take care of that segment.

    With the LP560 allegedly achieving 0 to 300 km/h in 34 seconds, the Gallardo pretty much does take care of that segment already .

    They would have to raise base price close to 911 turbo. This would make the turbo a better price/performance choice.

    Your post is part of the answer. LP560-4 is not faster enough then test mules of R8 V10 so... there may be NO R8 V10... New Audi owner called Porsche are already thinking about ending R8 line after end of its pruduction life(2011)... Porsche like Cash... Lots of cash... And R8 despite its huge demand is NOT a cash maker...

    If you see R8 V10 intro in Paris there will be a R8 V10 in costumer hands in early 2009. BUT, if there is NO R8 V10 intro in Paris there are big chances that we will NOT see R8 V10 at all... So, if not Paris 2008 then maybe Geneva 2009... BUT, if NOT Geneva 2009 then...NO R8 V10 at all.

    No. It will be either R8 V10 or R8 line will remain with single engine till end of its model life.

    Audi should definitely bring out the V12 TDI, and make it a bit slower than the LP-560. So it still offers good performance but its still under the real sportscar (Lambo).
