GT2Driver:Perhaps they can rotate the engine 180 degrees and place the gearbox at the rear. Voila and suddenly you have a competitive GTE car.
You've just given away their strategy!
Now they're trying to figure out how to cope with 6 reverse gears and just one forward gear.

martini964:Toby, do you still have /drive 993tt?
I still have it, it has lived in my garage for the last 7 years, it had one trip out to a vmax event a couple of years ago at an airfield where it hit the rev limiter at 201mph and ran faultlessly.
I can't bring myself to sell it having spent so much time and money on it and it is probably worth less than a 100% original collectors car which is so ridiculous that it makes me stubborn enough to keep it
Its last outing

Actually the way it used to be done was to mount the gearbox upside down (but then you have to adjust the oiling scheme).

That is absolutely beautiful. Feel free to post as many pics of that car as the internet will allow...

There used to be a US company which installed Chevy small blocks in the back of 911s in the Seventies and eighties. I think they were called ChevIt. They fit that friggin small block and it had monster traction and speed. We could set the extra cylinders over the rear diffuser. 🛠
Edit. Found it http://www.renegadehybrids.com/911/911.html
sorry to stray off topic. Funny as we are losing cylinder volume and adding turbos.

Mikla:Very nice!
This would be definitely the color choice for a "next" 991 Turbo S...
I'm just a sucker for black on black on the 911 Turbo.

... and black rims.
We're at the point where you can be the fastest or just sound like you're the fastest.
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.
Yeah baby...yeah...black rims are a must!
The current R8 V10 Plus I'm looking at has black rims as well...apparently not everyone likes them, two potential customers didn't get this car because of the black rims. Good for me.

4trac:SciFrog:Black rims are tacky especially when shiny.
.... and look ghetto / rapper when they're matte.
Doesn't matter for normal people who see you in this car...they already categorized you, like it or not.

Good point..... on the subject of matte black (foil I expect in this case), I couldn't resist this combination of car and sign, a few weeks ago....
