V6 turbo hybrid should be ready end of 2021 ,
in May Ferrari will show the top of the range V8 hybrid mid engine .
That V8 hybrid will be in the LaFerrari class (performance-wise).

They have delayed this engine because of its innovative and complex architecture, i really doubt it will appear in three months from now in a portofino chassis ..
Ps : seems like the new V8 tt hybrid coming in may will have the new modular platform of course BUT with the passenger cell in carbon to compensate battteries weight .

Lately, I get the feeling that many car manufacturers push out the best and latest they have as fast as possible before the EV apocalypse hits us.

Hard to be convinced of any of the post-pininfarina designs.... maybe there is an easy solution here??

Flávio Manzoni and his team seem to get no credit for the La Ferrari or the FXXK which are wonderful designs. Also the Pista to my mind is a triumph - showing others how to make a good looking car that is aero driven. However, the true test will be how the new mid-engined platform cars look like. That will be their first car entirely by themselves for the core Ferrari market.
Never liked the design of the Larifari. The rear is alright, but the front with this anchor-thingie looks ridiculous. Sorry.
I also think the Pista is no design masterpiece. Again, the rear looks quite good, but the front with this massive indention and the small mustache like wing doesn't do it for me.
We're at the point where you can be the fastest or just sound like you're the fastest.

Speaking of moustaches: My daughter calls the new Aventador SVJ "Moustache" for obvious reasons. 😂

I agree with you Stefan. Up until the SP1 and SP2 Monza models the Manzoni era of styling has been a jumbled mixture of clashing styling features that are neither elegant, graceful or classically beautiful. His team have tried to work current styling trends onto Pinifarina designs with increasingly poor results IMHO. The timeless elegance has been lost in a desire to provide on trend and aggressive looking models instead. The La Ferrari is better in person than in photographs but still a very polarising design.
The real test of Manzoni will be the next generation of cars which have no links to the Pinifarina era.

One problem that this side photo shows, is that the air requirements (presumably more so for these turbo engines?) now dominate the styling, in a way that is not attractive. It is very difficult to make a big hole pretty, to put it simply. In this regard, McLaren's innovation for the 720S, in hiding the required airflow to allow a more unbroken side view, is notable.
