I'm Back!

In case you hadn't noticed, I've been gone for a week, vacationing on the coast of Maine. Unfortunately it was not a Porsche Cayenne vacation. Because of the distance, I flew.

It is an absolutely beautiful area. The photo below is of Monhegan Island, my favorite stop on the trip. This is not a good Island for driving as they won't let you bring your car here (no paved roads anyway). Island vehicles seem to be limited to old 4WD pickups and a few golf carts. This was a remarkably peaceful and relaxed place to spend a couple of days.

Despite it's primative and isolated nature, it's quite tourist friendly really. There are several restaurants and places to stay. The Monhegan House, where I stayed, and Island Inn both have fine restaurants in the hotel. I would give the Monhegan House restaurant three stars.

In all seriousness Maine is a beautiful place to visit and relax... did I mention the all-you-can-eat lobsters?

Don't you mean "Lobstah"?

Yes, lots of lobster, and then crab or clams and then more lobster. At the Monhegan House they had a varied menu so I took that opportunity for a seafood break and had a spice rubbed pork chop, which was excellent.

Well, a little bit too much Europe for my taste. This is why I love Florida.
