The farmer:RC, are you the one in the middle ?
No, he's coming in at 2:47, see him practising here.
Oddly enough, my first revealing post has disappeared.
Honi soit qui mal y pense.

I am the one filming and the one in the middle is a woman (and I get the feeling that Zumba wasn't really for her... ). Actually I talked to the Zumba teacher later on during dinner, he is a former US basket ball player but he was injured and had to change his job and he told me that he got bored with the Zumba lessons because he always had to reduce the pace because most of the women couldn't keep up with the speed. Also, apparently, he had to change the music because many European housewives apparently don't really like Reggaeton (his favorite for Zumba), so he had to offer something more mainstream.

Latest indication regarding the GT2 RS for me(still looks promising) from my dealer would be deliverance late fall 2017. Looooooong wait ( and the rumors also says there WILL be a 991.2 GT3RS, at least 6 month after the GT2 RS, since Porsche want to have the sale of the "ordinary" GT3 much longer this time)
Need some new blood in my stable, so right now I'm considering to change my Panamera TS and buy the new Panamera diesel as a winter car. Never been much of a diesel guy, but the new TS would be one more year.... Get the spec from the dealer next week (but already got it from Aldo's post, so). For me, the only thing mitigating a diesel would be massive amount of torque and 750 Nm is not that good considering the "old" V8 diesel with 800 Nm....
To be continued.....

nberry:I still don't understand the need for the GT2RS.It's a very limited customer base they will be marketing.
Not that limited. There is a pretty large market (particularly in $$$) for 600hp+ RWD sports cars these days...
Just a few off the top of my head: McLaren 650 & 675, Ferrari 488 & F12, Huracan -2 model, Aston-Martin V12, BMW M6 (next one), Jaguar SVR (only 575hp now with more coming, Bentley (new sport coupe), AMG GT R, Viper, Corvette Z06, Ford GT, etc...

You could argue that there is no real "need" for any sports car, though this forum would be an odd place to choose to do so, but if Porsche can sell it in sufficient numbers to make a (very good) profit, why should it bother you?

Even with all the camo it look beastly ... getting the impression that this GT2RS will be an excercise from Porsche of showing the competition how high the 911 can go (power and sheer performance) more than anything else

why enter a market that is saturated as pointed out by Grant? Many of those cars could be considered DD. But driving a GT2 to work with the humongous wing?
Of little, to make much: That is the dream of a human life.
nberry:why enter a market that is saturated as pointed out by Grant?
Just because there are many options doesn't mean the market is saturated. If none of the cars in this segment sell well, then you can conclude that...

I am sure they won't hold back, they never did with the GT2 ...and in a few years there will an even more powerful one... and one more... etc. etc. etc.
I might be one of the few here, but I am somewhat getting bored of this predictable evolution... more power, more nannies to control them
