    Got this off the Fchat site re 149

    Hi Guys

    Following are all facts:

    New Ferrari engine 4.7ltr (not based or a regeneration of any current engine, a brand new engine)
    480-500bhp
    7 speed ultra quick gearbox
    0-100kmh in less than 4 secs
    Top speed kept under F430
    Ceramics standard
    Long list of options available
    Double clutch
    Direct injection
    Fold away metal roof
    Latest Becker TOUCH sat nav
    Bluetooth
    Ipod
    USB stick
    Does not look great in Red, Fantastic in black/silver/titanium

    Dealers and a few special guests shown the car 2 weeks ago, it was standing next to a GTC, DB9, Porsche Turbo, SL and looks killed them all, the car looks fabuous. This car can be used any day of the week and every day of the week, it is honestly a great looking car.

    Ferrari will release a picture of the car in 2 weeks.

    Rumor is the car will be a 2+0 with 2+2 as an option...

    Just one other thing that I heard-weight is at 599GTB level... That means F149 is pretty heavy...

    Performance is rumored to be on par with the F430 (coupe? spider?), a bit doubtful.

    Scud is fine until the F142 comes out...

    We must keep in mind that the performance parameters of this car need to be competitive for several years. It would makes sense that that its perf. is close to the 430 if not better. I know, I know, they still need to sell the 430 for another year or two but they can distinguish the cars based on front engine/mid-engine.

    To me, the Scuderia already look dated. But no doubt it is the best handling car currently offer by Ferrari.

    Well, I just didn't want to be that harsh.

    As I always said, Scuderia is the third (!) iteration of car that once was a F360 Modena.

    I can't wait to see some pics.. very promising specs.. this will be a beauty for sure.

    Again from the Fchat site.


    just met with my dealer who came back from a formal dealer intro about the california, 4.7 liter engin 7 gear superfsast box , the car looks like a baby 599, retracktable hard top as in SL, optional reare seats as in 911 barely for kids or small adults. the car will be about 10 k less than an F430 with very close performace figuers. new sat nav screen and latest tel and on board computer.
