I vote it's not a wide-body in the picture - just not wide enough - the low stance might make it look wider than it is in some pics but it's just not wide enough to be an RS body as we know it. What's amazing is that all of us who own these cars can not tell the difference for certain -
The DI engine it what it's all about. That in combination with the dry sump will make it the ultimate 911.
NBerry - If they change the look/shape any more it would not be in keeping with true 911 tradition - change is something I let Obama and Hillary advocate. I do always appreciate your comments and hope you always feel welcome to inject your observations. Porsche can take it and so can I. I will always be driving a 911, until they pry the keys out of my dead fingers. BTW, the F360 is a beautiful car, the F430 is an example of change being a bad thing - it's a shame the ruined the 360 with that wana be 'Speed racer' 430 style. Just my opinion, neither car could actually be driven like I drive my 911, which is my year around daily driver.
I like that they just changed the bumpers/ lights externally - reminds me of the old days when people would fit the new bumpers to update the look of the older cars (now they actually go retro trying to make an 82 look like a 73
) It would be nice if they made a really cheap retro fit kit for iPod connectivity, mp3 capability etc. for the older cars. (DI kit for the older cars?)
Overal the facelift seems to be minor cosmetically - good. I like it better that way, the benefit is all about the DI.
Also - notice the sunroof delete in the pictures - now if we could get a decent 100 liter tank it would be a Canon-Ball run monster.
Any co-pilots?
Cheers!
