Josef:After a long wait (almost 10 month) I finally received my GT4, I drove roughly 1800km, so ready for the spring which is just not coming to Switzerland.
I really love this car, it is exactly what I had hoped for or even more. Will go to probably Hockenheim as soon as I reach 3000km. Below some pictures I took with the iphone, sadly not my house in the background
Congratulations, Josef...enjoy in good health.

I am not sure where to post this, but since the car is white it has to be in the fastest thread on RT
I took a 991.1 Turbo S cabriolet out for a drive today in the early summer weather. Sunny, blue sky and 22 degrees. Perfect!
I was mighty impressed by the car, not only for the mental acceleration, but because it felt so agile and light. I had not expected this from a turbo cabriolet. In fact, it felt far more agile then my C4S, which came as a surprise. I guess the lower rotational weight from the PCCB brakes and the rear-wheel steering helped a lot. Nevertheless, this car truly enjoyed being thrown into a curve, very well balanced, no complaints. A huge leap forward compared to the 997 turbo / cabriolet.
The raw power of the engine is truly addictive. The turbos spool up quickly and the car is catapulted forward like a rocket ship. Close to GT4 territory. Impressive.
I even enjoyed the exhaust note. A very deep bass sound on idle and low RPM which built up to a jet fighter crescendo on full boost. Lovely!
Verdict, far more fun and involving than expected. I am very tempted

Many thanks for posting your impressions bluelines. I got to play with a 991/1 turbo S for an hour courtesy of my dealer. The power as you say is truly addictive and the sound is also pretty good. I must admit I was pretty underwhelmed with the normal 991/1 which I've driven on several occasions, more GT than sports car. I'd get bored with one pretty quickly. I guess the GTS with it's lovely engine sound would be much better.

Don't do it, you will be disappointed. The Turbo S is a fantastic car, no doubt about it but once you get used to the boost and handling marvels, you will be disappointed by the sound sooner or later. Especially when that top is closed.
Try a new V10 R8 Spyder instead and tell me what you think... Or even the "old" V10 Spyder (car needs to be after 2013). Basically a more comfortable Huracan with better visibility.

Gnil:Bluelines, get rid of that slow GT4 and get yourself a real man's car . BTW , I like your new handbag , suits the Turbo S cab in white perfectly
Thanks!

No, I probably won't do it.
I did look at a V10 R8 Spyder too, but I did not drive it... yet They seem to depreciate at least as much as the 991 Turbo here.
Why after 2013? Facelift? There is a black V10 R8 Spyder from 05.2013 for CHF 129k at an official AMAG dealer. Pretty good offer.
My only issue is, there is zero space to pack anything in the R8

The R8 got a facelift and it includes the fantastic PDK-like S tronic (previous cars were using outdated R tronic).
If you are looking for an exotic (but not too exotic), I think the R8 is just right. I am currently in negotiations with an Audi dealer about a R8 V10 Plus Coupe with very low mileage and basically almost new (car isn't even a year old). Next week, with some luck, I could be the proud owner of a R8 V10 Plus.
Depreciation is incredible and this works to the advantage of those who don't mind getting a slightly used car for 45-50% below the new price tag.
Neither my wife nor my son could tell the difference between a new R8 and the "old" one (without looking at both next to each other!), so most people won't be able to do that either (unless they look inside the car).
