4trac:I assume the LOL is the Toronto skyline on this “ready for Montreal” image?
Yeah. Literally all you would need to do is go to Google and search for Montreal under images. Just don’t understand how something so simple could get botched like that these days.

JoeRockhead:Whoopsy:They are Italians, it's a picture of a Canada city, close enough!
Yet they feel detailed enough that they need to have 40 different shades of red.
Well that's also because they are Italians, they can't decide on one single red.

To make it look good the close up ones look like Maple leaves but the rest is a nod to subliminal advertisement for the city at best. It always has been a smoking town - too funny. One year a guy in the stands lit up a joint and not one person said a thing - had it been a cigarette there would have been outrage. Montreal during GP weekend - it should be an excellent race - perhaps a wake me up after Monaco.

The Ferrari Challenge Supoort race before had better action, they don’t call Ferrari Challenge the demolition derby for nothing.
The Cup race before that was even better, pure racing
and neither of those 2 races have Lance stroll, the idiot that doesn’t know what he is doing in a race track. Today he loses his car and crashed into Brendan and ruin Brendan’s race. All his fault. The live track side commentator had the audacity saying it isn’t Lance’s fault. Also even imagined that Lance must have he a cut tire to lose control. So biased simply because Lance is a Canadian.

Claire Williams prattled the same about Stroll, it wasn’t his fault. Stroll’s father’s money is too powerful of a drug for the Williams team.

That's the reason the Fastest Lap was taken off DR and awarded to MV. "Communication breakdown" is how they are spinning it

At the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve there are TWO grandstand/suite boxes that was named after a driver. The Senna Club near the Senna Curve and the Lance Stroll stand on the exit of the hairpin.
(Wonder what did he do to warrant a grandstand named after him over say 100s of other F1 drivers)
That tells you something doesn't it? Not just for Williams. But the circuit too. Jacques is the most vocal critic of Lance, I don't blame him. The circuit named after his father has a Lance fucking Stroll grand stand, I would be livid too.

KMM:Was there such low interest in F1 in Canada, that they wanted to milk the local boy thing to this extent? I did not think so.
We still love watching F1. But there aren't many Canadian drivers that's the problem.
And the ASN Canada is to blame. The don't really promote motorsport. Only thing they do is to charge outrageous renewal fee to existing drivers.
Our track is building a go kart track to help promote things independent of ASN Canada. As we also run a driving academy, we can perhaps do a one stop shop for kids showing talent.
Hosting national races will be our next step, to bring more exposure.
The motorsport is almost dead in Italy, we have Ferrari....they dont care in making young italians pilots, compared to when I raced here...today nobody cares about cars and racing anymore...the young kids have no money to do anything...no sponsors...nothing..all dead.....there are actually no italian pilots anywhere...the only one is GIo...but looks like he is out ot the 1 teams.
so sad.....the situation in motorbike..is little bit better thansk to VR46...
but we are loosing all...
