Porker:Going there for the TT next week, can't wait to discover that place.
Have a great trip, Frank!
Are you planning to drive over to IoM? If so, the ramps on the Steam Packet ferry need careful (slow) negotiation...
The Isle of Man is a great place for driving and has some wonderful mountain roads!
During the TT week there will be times when road are closed for racing, so good to plan your day in advance!
It's also worth keeping in mind that there are a lot of amateur (and pro) riders on the IoM roads during TT week, so you should expect to encounter superbikes around every blind corner!
There are usually some nice cars on IoM, but try to avoid being goaded into amateur racing on the roads as there are often some unfortunate incidents during TT week...
Look forward to hearing about your trip!

Oh wow... I spotted a completely white GT3 RS with German plates travelling through the Netherlands from east to west last week... Wonder if it was this car... could've been him, travelling to the boat to England...

Amazing that there was no serious injury - a prime benefit of the over-sized 911 of current times...

This should not be a surprise to anyone. I believe close to 150 Cyclist have died in this race from the date its inception. These guys are basically sitting on an engine traveling close to 200mph. More will die but at least they can say they died doing what the love as crazy as that may sound.

Its true you expect it every year, but it still you don't get used to it
If you look at an onboard camera, it's hypnotizing, its absolutely bonkers, its not so much the speed, those of us who have ridden sportbikes have hit those speeds both in public roads and track, no big deal, what is absolutely crazy is hitting those speeds while at the limits of grip! AND so close to houses, trees, wall, etc.. Guess that is part of what fascinates so much about this race. This race is an anacronism, dont see anywere in today's world a sporting competition that is so risky and participants are so close to loosing their lives constantly.

Senior TT finished yesterday and lap record smashed. Utterly mesmerizing to see these guys giving everything around that magnificent island road. We’ve been treated to brilliant weather as well. Can recommend everyone to visit the TT.

Kobalt:Sweet!
Is it difficult being there during the TT: I mean, transportation, hotels etc?
You have to book your plane or ferry well in advance, and if you want to have a hotel I'd recommend the same. As in book now for next year. Campsite we managed to book relatively late, but as campsites go it wasn't especially pleasant. Transportation during TT, unless you have your own motorcycle is done with buses and taxis, but that worked quite well. It's best to just pick one viewing spot for each event and stick to it instead of running from place to place during the races as the distances are quite big.

This is absolutely bonkers, I don't think I blinked during the entire video... at that pace there is no room for the slightest error and with tress, walls and houses bordering the road. This is onboard during the record lap.

We saw him driving passed us on the mountain course during that record lap, it was absolutely breathtaking. All the riders came through at blinding speed, but his commitment was clearly something else. He gained about 5 seconds on Dean Harrison, the leader at that point, on the mountain course alone, absurd.
