Why does it have to be an improvement? Why can't it just be different?

You're kidding, right? Changing but not improving is changing for the sake of changing... Then we would REALLY be scr*wed, because it then becaumes very clear it's only to keep us buying...

So does the 991 come out in summer 2010 as a 2011 mosel or is this year 2011 with a 2012 model ?

Actually we could continue this "997-FL-thread" as the "New-911-(991)-thread". Perhaps this will lead to the breakdown of the server at last.

great shot, great to see something of the navigation unit. The button layout is matching the RNS 510 of Volkswagen. It also matches the rumour I heard.

Few remarks:
-all test mules are wide body Carrera 4/Targa 4 cars. Makes me wonder NO narrow body 997 any more?
-new exterior rear view mirrors looks like LKW(in German!) POS(in English). I know-EU regulations.
-new Navi is the same as in VW Passat. Good or bad thing?
-steering wheel on Targa 4S mule is the same as before
All in all not bad. BUT, the question about few other thing remains:
-will Porsche introduce 997 Turbo facelift at the same time as normal 997 range? If not-who will order 997 Turbo until facelift is introduced?

New navigation and air condition unit.
New navigation system, but I am not sure the A/C itself is new, it may be only a different fascia to match with the look of the new PCM.

Somebody will be pretty unsatisfied but it looks like the 997 "facelift " ( i don't see pretty much of it ) will gain only 20 HP on the Carrera and the Carrera S.
345 BHP for the base ( that will carry standard bixenon lights )
375 BHP for the S
