    Cayenne Turbo

    Guys,

I have a CTT courtesy car while my car is in for its annual service. Since I will be away for a week or so on business in April the dealer kindly let us have the car until the 22nd April - my wife will enjoy it while I am in the UK.

All I can say is WHAT A BEAST! That thing is AWESOME! I cannot believe how fast it is. I have driven the V6 and the S but the CTT is in a class of its own!

I did 200 Km today and will be doing about 1,000 over the next week! Can't wait. The fuel economy was not great - but I have lead in my right foot at the moment

Planning on taking it on mountain run with 930's, 964's, 993's and a couple of Boxsters on Sunday! Should be AWESOME!

The only thing I don't like is the driving position, I have been in sports cars for too long and only a low seating position with legs out front is good for me.

    Regards From Tokyo!

    Re: Cayenne Turbo

    Hello PT,

You must be well connected with your dealer to get a CTT as courtesy car (good for you !!) Indeed the CTT is a beast and I cannot wait to get her, I have end of April delivery and I am very excited.

Make sure to post pictures of your mountain run this Sunday as I am sure our fellow forum members would like to share the trip .

I like the high 'sitting' position but that's probably because I have always had 4x4's. Working on wifie though to get a used 996 maybe next year for track days.

Going to the UK! (avoid T5 my friend hi hi) also take some warm clothes as it is bitterly cold. Be safe !

    Cheers

    Mark

    Re: Cayenne Turbo

Porky - i am still trying to find the perfect setting for the seats. i have it down as low as possible most of the time. much lower than the feeling in spouses LR3. in comparo to that one it is a sporty seating but nothing like the 4s.

the beltline is still pretty low so my thought is to maybe mod the seating platform in the future.

    Re: Cayenne Turbo

    Hey Porky,

Have you had a chance to drive a GT-R? If yes, I want to hear your feedback.

Seriously... I don't believe Beverly Hills Porsche even HAS a Cayenne Turbo available as a loaner car. Has anyone on this board gotten one? Am I getting ripped off?!?

    Re: Cayenne Turbo

I have had everything from Cayenne Turbos, Boxters down to a Dodge Neon...for loaners. If my vehicle was out for an extended service I would ask for something nice and they would usually hook me up with a Porsche or Audi.

    Re: Cayenne Turbo

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Hi Mark, I am quite well connected with my dealer. I have the CTT for most of April. I have introduced LOADS of customers to him and bought several cars myself. You will love your car when it turns up! I am very impressed.

The mountain run did not take place. Its cherry blossom season and the roads are PACKED! Will go on the 26th if the weather allows.

My dad lives in London and has already experienced T5 first hand. He told to me that if I cannot take only hand luggage (traveling business out there and first back) I should make a list of each item I take, the rough price and hand it to check in before boarding. If my luggage is not there I will expect a cash amount. It happened before and BA paid up big time! I got a new wardrobe : )

    CP4AS,

You could be right about lowering the seat. The wife wants a dark green / beige Cayenne - we ordered it but had to cancel due to a possible work move to Singapore.... If we do get one, will lower the seat for sure.

    Targa Tim,

Not had the chance but have been given the opportunity. I fly every other week, this week it was Singapore, week before Sydney, next week London, two weeks later Shanghai and then early may to LA. The weekends are dedicated to my wifes retail therapy sessions - hurts the wallet big time.

HOWEVER, I am trying to get a V-Spec GT-R - I will do 6,000 Km and sell it in the UK for a good profit - someone has to fund the retail therapy : )

The best loaner I ever got was a 996 Turbo when I was getting my 996 C2 serviced. Great car!

Check out a few silly video's - listen to my wife laughing in the Gallardo - its her favourite car!

to your wife for a) being a great passenger and b) being one of the best in-car camerapersons, great video, no shake, superb sound, just longer next time.

to you for having such great taste in women.

    Re: Cayenne Turbo

Thanks for the replies! My wife is quite a speed freak. She is a very good driver too. I think most people who ride motorbikes are.

By the way, my window was slightly open - it was raining so I didn't open it fully.
