    As I stated at the thread around the new 997 facelift. I was seeing a facelift car closeley for around 1 hour. It was a UK-right steerer. So I was driving some times on the right lane and had a very good view onto his steering wheel. This car had somehow paddles. They have been strechted Tip-Tronic plastic parts. Just think about the tiptronic buttons we all know and add a little plastic nose to the top end, thats how it looks like.

    PDK must be improved version of DSG.. i don't know if DSG is faster than manual in VW.. but in sure it's going to be better than the DSG after Porsche improvements.
    I've owned both Tip and manual and i've always loved the Tip.
    anybody has a VW DSG experience to tell us about it?

    Don't know for sure about the VW DSG, but I am guessing that since Porsche took a long time bringing out a PDK that it is different and that Porsche has patents on it.

    Anyone have an idea of what the option price of this will be?

    Would make sense. Just in between the tiptronic and the F1 from Ferrari.

    It will be good if you can change gears using the stick too, unlike tiptronic now. Any information?

    Just spoken to Porsche GB and they have advised that the facelift 2's will come on line first with the 4's towards November..ish. No indication on the price or style of the PDK as yet but they are taking orders now!

    I believe both will be released at the same time, no need for a delay since it's a facelift and they need to shift the vehicle quick before competition comes hunting. Look at it this way, the new SL facelift will comprise of the 350,500 and 63 at the same time and not within intervals
