    Oh thank God. My car is already 205,450 euro (excluding taxes) with the options i chose. I still have to negotiate a discount with the dealer but they are promising me a delivery in late july or early september. Hopefully july...

    Is there some kind of a waiting list for the LP560 or just put down a deposit, sign the papers and the car will show up in few months ?

    I have not yet spoken to the dealer about the discount. Im planning on calling her monday to finalize everything. I'll know then how much of a discount ill get.

    In regards to the waiting list, its pretty much like the old gallardo.

    The dealers will try to make you think that there is a big "waiting list" for the car; but, as you stated, it's just like the original Gallardo -- after the first few months go by, they will be giving the usual discounts. Especially with the world economy in a slump and the large price increases for the LP560.

    If you really think about it, all of the options are a total ripoff. The rear view camera is 2000 euro!! I mean come on...

    The options on my car alone totaled 58k euro

    We all know the power seat mechanism, for example, is from one of the Audi cars. Why does it cost 3000 euro or $3600, when in the Audi the exact same hardware is easily one third the price. Yes, most of the option prices are a ripoff.

    Well...here is an important question i have regarding comfort package option. On my previous Gallardo Nera, i had the comfort package which made life on the road in Beirut a lot more pleasant. Although i really want to order it, im worried that the softer setting will take away from the cars performance. Second, and more important, is the fact that the car has a completely new suspension now so im worried that it will take away from the improvements of the new suspension. Anyone have any info regarding this?

    Don't think so. Midengined sportscar rise in price, F142 as direct competitor will head in the same direction. Gives manufacturers a oppotunity to introduce new "entry level cars", whether they are totally new (F149) or just a downgrade concerning the engine (Gallardo V8).

    I agree with you.

    LP560-4 is without competition at the moment. 430 Scud or 997 GT2 are aimed to more track oriented costumers.

    Only problem will be R8 V10 since it will be much cheaper(little bit below 997 Turbo faceifted price- Euro 143K)...

    It would appear so But then next summer when I switch to an LP560 spyder I'll doubtless be charged an additional Pounds10k for chopping it off again These price hikes should be good news though for strengthening the residuals of the current cars.

    I'll be interested to see if a V8 ever appears in the Gallardo as my dealer said factory sources told him that it definately will NOT happen.

    Just been told the Comfort Pack option was missed out on my quote. At Pounds3225 it brings the price to a not inconsiderable Pounds171,433

    I'm off to lie down in a dark room after that shock

    that takes it close to the proce of an LP640, also I don't think the hike in price will help resdiuals in anyway since you will always loose the same percentage

    After all is said and done, the contract my dealer sent me came out to 206,000 euro Hopefully i can negotiate a few percent discount. It aint much, but ill take what i can get at this point. This turned out to be a pricey purchase.

    According to the dealer/factory, i should take delivery in europe this august.

    How much is the AM DBS? That would be the only other car I would consider in this price bracket. It's also got the looks, it's got the noise, it's got the sense of drama!

    OK, it's not as quick - but if you wanted quick you would get a Scud or a GT2.

    I think I would choose a DBS over an LP560-4 if the Lambo was more expensive.
