    Re: Brilliant!

    i looked back at the previous pictures.. i think the new 997 will exceed our expectation.

    Re: Brilliant!

    Just spoke with my dealer today (Carlsen in bay area), said Porsche is taking back all Carrera coupe builds for May and June (they will only be building Turbo's during those months). Sounds like they are ramping up production for the FL car early?

    Re: Brilliant!

    Anyone else heard about the gathering in Germany next month for a select few dealers from across the US (and possibly from the rest of the world). Apparently they've been invited by Porsche to view/test some "new products" ??

    Re: Brilliant!

    I really like the new rear end but I frankly do not like the front bumper.

    Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

    My dealer told me the 1st production date for the facelift is July, so when we could see the real photo from Porsche.

    The wait is freaking me out!

    At China Auto Show next month maybe..

    Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

    Interesting that there are no pics of PDK yet. Shouldnt someone be able to've at least been able to record the sound of PDK while shifting by now?

    What! No Puddles???

    By all account, and after no less than one hundred and twenty seven pages of asking with no response, the first puddles will be recorded by Berfes who has trekked to the arctic circle to record the unique pictures and sounds of Porsche's very own puddle system.

    Yeah, he literally went through all these puddles of mud on this whole wide planet.

    Re: What! No Puddles???

    With Harm Lagaay retiring some years ago, would anyone know how much influence Michael Mauer has on the facelift?

    Another question: what do you guys expect from Michael Mauer for the eventual 998?

    Couple more facelift

    Hope is not a repost. Can't go through 65 pages to see if it was a repost or not

    Re: Couple more facelift

    I thinks these pics are new,thanks!

    Re: Couple more facelift

    I just read the article and it says, Porsche is replacing it's current 4wd with Haldex.

    The Haldex AWD system is currently used in the following vehicle models:

    * Audi A3 quattro
    * Audi S3
    * Audi TT quattro
    * Bugatti Veyron
    * Ford Freestyle
    * Mercury Montego
    * Land Rover LR2
    * Saab 9-3 Aero XWD
    * Saab 9-3 Turbo X
    * SEAT León 4
    * SEAT Alhambra 4
    * SEAT Altea Freetrack 4
    * koda Octavia 4x4
    * VW Golf 4motion
    * VW Bora 4motion
    * VW Beetle RSi
    * VW Sharan 4motion
    * VW Passat 4motion B6 Platform
    * VW Multivan 4motion
    * VW Golf R32
    * Volvo S40 AWD
    * Volvo V50 AWD
    * Volvo S60 AWD
    * Volvo S60R AWD
    * Volvo V70 AWD
    * Volvo V70R AWD
    * Volvo XC70
    * Volvo S80 AWD
    * Volvo XC90
    So it won't be a permanent 4wd maybe that's what they're planning to do with the turbo facelift or turbo S ?

    Re: Couple more facelift

    How do you know it won't be permanent AWD. Aren't most of those models in your list permanent AWD (I think they are)? I'm not aware of any of those that can be run as RWD...

    Re: Couple more facelift

    Ford Freestyle?........ah come on.

    how about Mercury Montego

    Re: Couple more facelift

    has any photographer ever tried to break in somewhere where they're testing in Finland?

    We never see pics of this emerge.. if someone could catch a shot of the FL right now i'd be worth 6 figures i bet.

    Like in Der Erlkonig, (short MB movie) google it, its great!

    Im dying to see this thing already...
    We will probably see new GT3 bumpers and such as well

    Re: Couple more facelift

    IMO these pix are new. Great shot, gives a good indication how the car will finally look like.

    BTW... I have the same info as mentioned before, all Carrera June production slots are moved towards July. So July first cars will be out... mine as well!

    Yep, EU-regulations...

    Re: Couple more facelift

    FYI, see below Patent that was published in January - for a 997 toy car - if you look at the dotted lines - expect where the changes on the facelift car will be.....

    http://www.freepatentsonline.com/D560557.html?highlight=porsch&stemming=on

    FYI, also look's like Porsche has filed patent for the new GT3 rear wing.... seems a little broader on the bottom than the current wing... can anyone let me know how to past an Acrobate file onto the site so I can attach the details... thanks
