    Again many congrats to this marvellous car.
    I like the shape of the GTS in black very well.

    So, i can't await for the delivery of mine. It's estimated for the end of april.And for sure, i will post some pics, as soon as the wether conditions make these possible.

    I think you and Mark will love your cars when you get them.
    I have to say that it is night and day between how the new Cayennes drive versus my old '04 Cayenne "s". The new ones seem much nimbler, a much lighter feel all around. Well worth the wait!

    Just back from my Porsche dealer and they confirmed that my CTT has been manufactured and is awaiting shipment to Oman

    Lovely Nordic Gold GTS in the showroom, could stop myself to take a couple of pictures, enjoy !!!

    Hi Paul,

    Very nice interior, the black leather and the alcantara seats look very nice. I wish it was available for my CTT but unfortunately not (boo boo)

    Quick question, what have you been told by the dealer about running in the engine?

    Hi Mark,
    My salesman told me not to exceed 4500RPM the first 1500 miles and no long trips in that same amount of mileage. After that anything goes.
    When I test drove a GTS at another dealer, he told me that the break in period is 4000 miles. So there is a little discrepency. I figure 2000 miles then just drive normal.

    I do love the GTS seats but found that the normal seats are great with the regular Cayenne. With my old "S" I found them very adjustable and very comfortable....I have owned a few BMW's in the past and think that the quality with Porsche is much better.

    Hi Paul,

    Was the salesman specific with no long journeys in the first 1500 miles? I was just planning a trip to Dubai (1000km return) to give the CTT a good run-in. Yes I am going to vary my speeds, no hard breaking but I have a feeling that a good long run at different revs (limiting to 4000RPM) is good for the engine, instead of the short start stop runs . Not sure what to do now ? Any thoughts ?

    Hi Paul,

    I chose the 21" sport plus wheels. I thought about painting them in the exterior color but decided against (I like to show of the wheels) My decision is probably to do with my love for the BMW's especially the 'old' BMW's with Alphina wheels .

    Really excited, cannot wait Our dealer had a Basalt black CCT in the showroom with most of my options as well, just imagined taking delivery of the car (Am I a sad b.....t ) only 3-4 weeks to go. Next is selling my X5, any takers

    Mark, I suspect a lot of the running in methods and beliefs are from times past when the manufacturing processes weren't as exact and engines really needed to be run in well. I highly doubt that it's as important these days, as long as you take it easy in the beginning. This is just my opinion though, I can't really back it up with any hard facts

    I agree. I had a new Range Rover about 5 years ago, and asked the dealer what kind of breaking in of the motor
    should I do and they responded to just drive it like you
    normally would. Of course you don't go redlining a RR very
    often...but Mark I think your original idea sounds good with varying the RPM's

    Great choice. I had the option of the ones I got or the Sportplus wheels. The decision was really hard. I agree, the Sportplus wheels reminded me of my first car. A BMW 320I, with spoked wheels that remind me of the Sportplus ones. Great car! fun to drive but grossly under powered. But I was also a young lad and a lot of horsepower probably would have gotten me into a lot of trouble.

    Hi Paul & Denn,

    I fully agree and I am still thinking about a nice trip to Dubai to impress wifie and son (hi hi hi). Although my darling is a car dealers daughter her 'love' for cars is very limited (non existing I would say). Wifie only agreed for me to by the CTT as she like Porsches better than BMW's.

    Paul, I had a 320 as well as the 325iSE (1990) in my younger days. The latter I had for 7 years and I had tears in my eyes when I sold it to a boy racer back in The Brog Scotland.

    Today, I got the date of delivery of my new GTS.
    It's April 30th.
    I've decided for the factory tour in Leipzig.
    I think there will be a lot of new impressions. So I'll post some pics.

    Congratulations with the confirmation of the delivery date ! Mine is shipped and I have an indication of delivery for end of April.

    I am doing the same on the 21st and 22nd of April (discover Porsche in Leipzig and pilot program. Maybe we bump into eachother.

    Oh, thats pitch. My date is fixed on the 30th in Leipzig, therefore I suspect that we can not meet.

    No worries, aha you are going to physically pick up your GTS I tried to factory deliver but this would have been extremely expensive in my case as I get my car basically tax free in the ME

    You said you've ordered your GTS in meteorgrau to be delivered in April. Did you get your car? Can you post any pics? I've also ordered a GTS in meterorgrau for June. And i'd love to see any pics ...
