I drove the SLK 350 today, with 7-speed-automatic-tranny. Although there wasn't time to test it back to back, I couldn't feel much difference to a SLK 320 with 6-gear. On the autobahn I was able to follow a new Carrera 4S quite easily, but then, perhaps he wasn't going as fast as he could (but according to the exhaust note he was!
).SLK has a very pleasant exhaust note BTW, noticeably, but not too loud for a car like this.

Yeah I know, that doesn't fit together. But I think the C4S wasn't travelling at full throttle and it was an auto-SLK 350 compared to a 6-gear-SLK 320 and I couldn't drive them back to back. But I still think the automatic tranny takes some speed.

Yeah I know, that doesn't fit together. But I think the C4S wasn't travelling at full throttle and it was an auto-SLK 350 compared to a 6-gear-SLK 320 and I couldn't drive them back to back. But I still think the automatic tranny takes some speed.
