They have to be incorporated in street cars since some drivers' abilities are limited or, in other words, on very different levels.
F1 has lost its technical leadership role for production cars a long time ago, apart from certain components (BMW engine management, Ferrari F1 gearbox interface) and a somewhat thrilling training camp for enthusiastic employees (Ferrari, BMW, Honda) this is about performance andcompetition. Oh, and business.
